Joakgust (1698) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - NOV 11, 2018Can. Hazy orange amber beer with a large white head. Aroma is fruity with notes of citrus, guava, lime and pomegranate. Flavor is sour with notes of citrus, lime, guava, pineapple and wheat. Well balanced.
slowrunner77 (19086) - Reno, Nevada, USA - OCT 16, 2018Reddish orange from the can. I like almost everything about this - much more gose like than some of the other heavily fruited seesaw beers, but also not quite as great. Not sure the pomegranate does anything positive here - everything else is fantastic. Light, tart refreshing and fruity, just don;t like the one fruit all that much.
italianjohn (4764) - Penndel, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 5, 2018Cloudy orange pour with a reddish hue and thin ring of white head .... aroma of sour, tart lime, guava, orange and pineapple.... taste is of lively tart, acidic and sour lime, orange and guava with some pineapple and melon flavors ..... very dry and acidic .... finish is dry with salty lime and tart sourness
ClarkVV (9063) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - OCT 1, 2018Cans and draught, most recently a can on 9/3/18.
Hazy/cloudy, strawberry-banana smoothie colored body is topped by pinkish-beige-tinged, off-white head showing moderate retention for a sour.
Nose is very fruity, as one would imagine given the number of fruits here. I get a lot of guava, lime and light orange, with less pineapple and little/no pomegranate. It's well-attenuated, it seems, and shows a great mix of acidity and juiciness with light-to-moderate lactic acidity mixing in but not coming off as overdone. No alcohol or flaw and only light, biscuity-nutty wheat behind it, but seemingly enough to balance, as this isn't intensely sour or heavily acidic.
In the mouth it's fruity, juicy, tart, bitter and yet showing enough of a wheat backbone to soften the texture and balance the acidity. Tight carbonation propels tons of guava-lime with bright orange on the finish and just a hint of pineapple and pomegranate throughout. Kind of feels, to me, like this is the culmination of their Gose efforts for this year and it definitely didn't disappoint. I love the tart, bitter and juicy components coming off enjoyably individually and being balanced overall. My favorite of their "goses" thus far, though it's still not really gose-like in the traditional sense.
jredmond (10321) - New York, New York, USA - SEP 14, 2018Can shared with Dallas. Pours a hazy orange body with thick white lace. Nose is a thick bushel of guava, citrus and tart lime. Mouthfeel is light bodied and tart with notes of sour pineapple, lime and musky guava.
Stuu666 (24521) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - SEP 1, 2018Can at the Bach. Pours orange, nose is guava, funk, pineapple, taste is tropical fruit, juicy, salty, funky.
bookman10 (3681) - Osseo, Minnesota, USA - AUG 28, 2018Pours a sort of pinkish-orange, slightly hazy, with small, fast-dissipating head (lots of effervescence in this one). Aromas of citrus and tropical fruit, with lots of lactic acid. Flavors include tropical and citrus fruits, the guava and lime are especially noticeable. Plus, there's a lot of lactic acid and some light salt in the finish. Another very tasty fruit gose from Trillium.
MartinT (10698) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 26, 2018My Bottom Line:
This generous Fruit Beer, which has nothing to do with a Gose whatsoever, shares plenty of guava and lime juices (amongst others) from aroma to tart finish.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam covers the cloudy pinkish red.
-Strawberry and kiwi juice impressions are also built by the fruit mix.
-Any semblance of a Gose is smothered by the generous fruit blend.
-Mouthfeel is smooth and very drinkable.
-This is quite good as a fruit beer. Why bother calling it a Gose though? If you make blueberry muffins and add a couple of cherries in there for fun, you can’t call your muffins Black Forest cake.
Bottle.
AirForceHops (12438) - Epping, New Hampshire, USA - AUG 10, 201816 oz can. Aroma is pineapple, guava, sour wheat. Flavor has sour guava, seedy fruit, lime peel, mild lingering tartness. A bit better than expected for how fast they have been pushing this series out. Lots of fruit adjuncts but it turned out well!
DiarmaidBHK (7594) - Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 7, 2018On draft at brewery. Pours brownish orange with a white head. Leaves some lacing in the glass. Nice lime and pineapple notes which is complemented by the tartness. Finished clean. Tasty.
