COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Squeeze those hops for all they’re worth and prepare to pucker up: Tröegs’ newest single batch brew, Nugget Nectar Ale, will take hopheads to nirvana with a heady collection of Nugget, Warrior and Tomahawk hops. Starting with the same base ingredients of our flagship HopBack Amber Ale, Nugget Nectar intensifies the malt and hop flavors to create an explosive hop experience.

While the brewery considers this an "Imperial Amber Ale" RateBeer considers it an IPA due to the hopping rate. There is no need to send any other corrections on the style.

Larry_Duffman (1031) - - DEC 31, 2021
UPDATED: DEC 31, 2021 I had it from the bottle. The aroma is citrus and pine hops. The taste is grapefruit, mango, and hops. This is a tasty amber. It's definitely more hops than malt. It's good and sessionable.

Voodoo (908) - Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 5, 2021
UPDATED: FEB 5, 2021 2021 bottle, Pours an orange tinged clear amber with a dense white head which lingers......aroma of traditional northwest IPA citrus and pine......taste is effervescent quickly bubbling on the tongue, then a plastic hop taste similar to mosaic, touch of pine, slight dankness........smelled much better than it tasted.......not a hop combination which goes well....IMO.

BillWyce (1436) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 2, 2021
UPDATED: JAN 2, 2021 Draft at the brewery. Poured clear amber with a 1-finger off-white head. Aromas of pine and citrus, with a touch of tropical fruit. Body is medium with a lightly oily feel. Finish is long and dry. Flavor of citrus hops, followed by pine. A bit of mango appears briefly at the back.

Jabah (2479) - Fairfax, Virginia, USA - MAY 5, 2020
UPDATED: MAY 5, 2020 Classified as an IPA in many places, but labeled as an amber. Very light in color and body if so. More like a hybrid. Has a lighter to medium orange...or super light amber appearance. Bitter West Coast style hops with some light tropical notes to balance out. Pretty much a hop bomb though. Thinner body and feel for easy drinking. Thought it would be slightly better, but was already a couple months in the can... so will try fresh next time.

UPDATED: FEB 18, 2020 Keg at Stanton Public, New York on 03/04/2008. Blimey; this was a powerful and very tasty red IPA, with none of those astringent bitter notes that they can sometimes give. Just perfectly rounded in its bitterness.

UPDATED: APR 23, 2019 Pours a clear red amber with a thick white head. Aroma of resin and earth. Taste is refreshing and dominated by hoppy citrus notes. Resinous mouthfeel, oak and lemongrass noticeable on the palate. Not too bitter, very enjoyable.

2OLD4BS (931) - west windsor, New Jersey, USA - APR 18, 2019

17Beer (1621) - Weston, Connecticut, USA - MAR 19, 2019
UPDATED: MAR 19, 2019 12 oz. bottle. Pours a light brown with a dense off-white foam. Scents of malt and citrus. Super combo of malt sweetness and hops bite that marries well. Medium carbonation. Bitter hops finish.
