bdleedahl (4795) - , Saxony, GERMANY - OCT 7, 2019
UPDATED: OCT 7, 2019 An okay overall beer, but really week for the style. Lacking a complex mouthfeel with many different rich flavors. Beercab Minsk

kiwianer (4068) - Otorohanga, NEW ZEALAND - APR 18, 2019
UPDATED: APR 18, 2019 The foam stability is good, the foam is half white half dark??! The body is black. The Aroma is darkmalty, smoky, alcoholic, peated. The taste is peated, intense, smoky, malty. Intense and fucking tasty, but a beer to drink slow.

Keg at Beercap, Minsk. Dark brown, mid sized head. Aroma of chocolate. Mid sweet with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Licorice and white pepper, some salmiak. Warming peppery finish. Dangerously drinkable.

Tasting at Matt's
Dark color, near black. Good aroma of dark chocolate, bread, some yeast. Full bodied; very good dark malt depth and flavour, caramel, bread, and alcohol warmth.
Very good.

Bottle - Light soy and dark molasses. Deep brown with a small beige head. Molasses, dark chocolate and cocoa. Cleanish finish surprisingly.

Oakes (26757) - Gibsons, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 29, 2018
Bottle. Dark brown. Thin head. On the aroma, fudgey chocolate, maybe a touch of phenol. On the palate, sweet and chocolatey, touch of alcohol in the finish, but pretty good balance. Sweeter than most of this style, the rye seems to lend some richness and complexity to the malt. Nice stuff.

mcberko (34280) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 29, 2018
330mL bottle, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out earthy spiciness and medium roast. Flavour is very sweet, with fudge, medium roast, caramel and a touch of spicy rye. Very sweet, dessert-like. Very good.
