Bottle at home. Clear brown red, cappuccino head. Milk chocolate, cream, nuts, dried fruit, liquor. Creamy, nuts, milk chocolate taste, mon cherie, cloves, spicy bitterness in the finish.

Thanks to Allen for this one. The bottle looks terrible, one could think the beer is called "33cl special" cause its written in big letters on the frontlabel. Not easy to find out brewery and beer name. The beer in the glass much better, deep black, small head. Starts malty, a bit smoky, not too dry. Turns more and more sourish fruity, intense notes of plum. Finish still very fruity, well balanced, quite drinkable. An unusual but good doppelbock!

Bottled, thanks Bov! Very dark brown, no head. Caramelly nose. Fairly sweet with solid, rounded body. Fudge and cranberry, slight salty finish. Feels a bit bold or edgy.

From GGF Getränke in Aarau (CH). Bottle 33 cl painted with mecanichal cork and pledge too expensive. Nose of chocolate, burnt, toffy, vanilla. Acid-sweet taste of malt and toffy, roasted-bitter tips, plum, tobacco, earth and hint of smoke. Final on the acidulity of roasting and bitter chocolate.

Embrouille (2867) - SWITZERLAND - APR 15, 2010
Bottled 33cl. Courtesy of Bov. Shared with my parents who love this beer. It pours a dark murky beer with a smallish head. Raisin, cocoa powder, asparagus and cherry components showing up in the nose which are accompanied by a lovely malt profile which really manifests itself nicely. Delicately smoky. Slightly sour taste. No residual sugars at all in the finish. Complex, delicious and different. Thanks a lot Bov for this beer!

Bov (14983) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - MAY 14, 2008
courtesy of Beat Rohner - pours a hazy ruby-brown colour with very little foam left; aroma of cocoa and caramel; some pepper too; chewy malts and a respectable malt body; sweet and fairly bitter; the finish is earthy, even a bit toasty, leaving gentle warming alcohol notes - interesting though a bit chaotic
