Scopey (21884) - Oldmeldrum, SCOTLAND - JAN 9, 2022
UPDATED: JAN 9, 2022 Bottle from Beer Moth. It pours clear dark brown with a decent khaki head. The aroma is sweet and cakey, brown bread, toffee, caramel, dried fruits, glace cherry, raisin, fruit cake, molasses and malt loaf. The taste is initially smooth, bitter - sweet, dry earthy roast, nutty, chocolate, praline, brown bread, malt loaf, dried fruits, raisin, fruit & nut chocolate, fruit cake, burnt toast, touch alcohol, caramel, toffee, toasted spice and cacao nibs with a dry, toasty finish. Fulsome body and moderate carbonation. Like the balance to this. Moreish.

UPDATED: JUL 18, 2021 Found out of bottle from a restaurant in Bielsko-Biala, Poland. Pours runny for a dopplebock. Not that enjoyable. Light for the style. Mild malt aroma as well.

UPDATED: JUL 2, 2021 500ml Bottle from Rehills, Newcastle. Dark copper coloured with a thin light tan head of foam. It has a rich dried fruit flavour with chocolate and liquorice notes followed by plum and smooth, spicy fruit and more chocolate on the finish. Excellent!

jjsint (6133) - Leicester, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - JUN 17, 2021
UPDATED: JUN 17, 2021 500ml bottle delivered from Beers of Europe and drunk at home. Light to mid-reddish brown with a small beige head. Sweet caramel aroma, molasses, slight scent of stone fruit. Sweet taste, lots of malt, lots more molasses. About halfway through there's a bittering balance with some earthy hops more detectable in the finish. Toffee and cola nut in the aftertaste. A great rendition of a great style.

jamesie1857 (2480) - Sheffield, South Yorkshire, ENGLAND - JAN 23, 2021
UPDATED: JAN 23, 2021 500ml bottle from Mitchells Wines at Meadowhead - Deep mahogany body, short 'lived off white top. Nose is caramel, some dark fruits and a lot of malt. First note of taste is the caramel, very sweet and toffee-like, bready, Soreen malt loaf and prunes. Bit thin, but sound enough.
