Dark amber color, with a taller, lasting light taupe colored head. Pale malts and light citrus dominate the hops. Some hints of spicy yeast that seem to blend in with the citrus. Light sweetness in the front that carries through to the finish, giving me a hint of under attenuation. Caramel and citrus in the middle. I keep getting a bit of funk that seems more in the realm of homebrew rather than a masters handling of yeast. Perhaps just a bit unclean. 3/10

12 oz. bottle part of a tasting from notes. Pours a slightly hazy orange amber color with a small off white head. The aroma is citrus hops, spicy yeast, bubble gum with some caramel malt also around. The flavor opens with a burst of citrus hops, spicy yeast, caramel, bubble gum with the grassy hops present as well. A hint of boozy character which was a bit odd.

everything in this beer is subtle, especially on the nose, but the sum of the parts is quite nice. juicy hops and a zing of yeast in the aroma. light, and approachable, as is the flavor. complex, but mellow. citrus and floral hops with a dry yeasty finish. good balance. thanks John."

Bottle. Slightly vinous, bready/yeasty, brown sugar malt aroma. Hazy amber with a small beige head. Fruity caramel malt, yeasty, spicy, weedy hops flavor. Medium body, soft carbonation. Overall the flavor was a bit medicinal, and I didn’t find it all that pleasant.

Bottle: Pours cloudy amber with a short, off-white head. Bready, toasty caramel aroma. Taste is yeasty, bready, earthy bitter. Imperial IPA bitterness, but not so boozy as some... Comes across a little musty. Good, but not great.

Medium apricot pour - thin white head that leaves quickly. Aroma is bold/vibrant and very interesting - spicy, bready, hint of fruity hops, sweet malts, caramel - seriously digging this nose! Flavor isn’t ’as’ good, but its pretty decent - booze, bittering hops, syrupy malt, yeast. Palate is somewhat highly carbonated, hint of an alcohol burn, lasting bitterness. This was a very unique brew, and one I’m quite glad to have enjoyed - nice work!

Nice aroma of hops and spice. Pours a cloudy orange-amber with a thin white head. This comes across more on the Belgian side then the IPA style, strong yeast esters with a little hop presence in the finish. There’s a touch of sweetness that lingers throughout, as well as a whisper of alcohol burn. There’s a lingering floral note in the finish from the hops. Overall this is good, and something worth trying.

From notes. First reviewed 7/20/2010. Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a tulip. Out of the bottle, it pours an amber color with cherry edges. A fluffy white head forms upon pouring, with decent retention and some soft lacing down the side of the glass. A bit darker and little bit less cloudy than other Belgian IPA’s. There is a very strong bubble gum aroma, with some soft caramel sweetness as well. Earthy and soft citrus hops. The bubble gum flavor carries through quite strongly. Sweet, caramel bready malt up front, with some spiciness and herbal hop flavors. Finishes smooth. Somewhat light, with medium carbonation. Medium body. Overall I thought this was tasty but a little bit simple.

Pours a hazy golden orange color with an off-white head. Still surprisingly hoppy for the age of this beer. Lots of fruity and floral notes along with quite a bit of yeast and some nice esters. Sweet bread and malt flavor are more pronounced on the palate. The citrus and fruit character translates to the flavor as well. A hint of grass and only a mild bitterness with some yeastiness toward the back end.

12 ounce bottle from Crown Liquors #19 in Carmel. Pours a clear amber color with a large frothy white head. Decent head retention. Aroma of earthy hops and biscuit malts. The taste is sweet malts, sweet tea, bitter earthy hops and toasted malts. Medium bodied.
