UPDATED: DEC 9, 2021 Rubinbrun vätska med återhållet skum. Aromer av plommon och nötter. Karamell, fruktkaka, lite tobak och mörk bitter choklad i smaken. Rejält värmande med en lång och smakrik eftersmak.

UPDATED: DEC 5, 2021 Pours a hazy chestnut brown colour with a thin off-white head. Aroma is fruity with odd notes of strawberries, dark fruits, caramel, nuts and brown bread. Taste is a lot richer with upfront notes of fruit cake, caramel, nuts, marmalade, tobacco and burnt brown bread. Still more hints of strawberries. Burnt roasty notes but also a touch of sweetness on the finish. Complex flavours and nicely balanced. Original and different. Nice beer to sip and enjoy. Very good.

UPDATED: SEP 16, 2021 Bottle, courtesy of Erzengel, shared with Undos and Gabor at Ganz. Pours a deeper copper, almost brown with tan head. Nose is cocoa, light chocolate notes, roasted malts, toffee and caramel. Taste is sweet malty, showing caramel, toasted and roasted malts, light chocolate and biscuits with little to no bitterness. Closes with a long lastin, malty finish, has a big body and soft carbonation. Lovely, thanks Gabriel for making it possible for me to try this classic!

UPDATED: AUG 29, 2021 Bottiglia. All'olfatto si esprimono sentori di sottobosco. La finezza olfattiva è elevata e il modo in cui permane è sufficiente. Il manto birroso superiore è caratterizzato da una schiuma color caffelatte dalla buona tenuta. La grandezza delle bollicine è medio-fine. Il colore è come l'inchiostro nero. Il corpo è strutturato. Il dolce è medio. L'amaro è contenuto. La forza gustativa è elevata e la permanenza è buona. Il gusto è piacevole. Il retrogusto è intenso. L'aroma in bocca porta i segni di miele, liquirizia, frutta secca, pane cotto di recente, agrumi, frutta passita, uvetta bagnata nel rum e alcol presente.

UPDATED: AUG 26, 2021 Flaska från SB. Mörk kastanjebrun, ser näst intill svart ut i glaset, med en tjusigt gräddig gräddvit krona. I grunden maltigt, med en kärv kompott av läder, tobak, kola, bränt socker, plommon, svartmalt, bränd brödkant. Samtidigt välhumlad med stor beska. Mjuk och fin kropp. Svårplacerad i stil, lite adambier-vibbar.

UPDATED: JUL 25, 2021 Il y a beaucoup de choses pour me plaire. Déjà une forme de bouteille originale et très jolie. Robe ambrée foncée. En bouche, on peut y voir un côté Barley Wine à l'allemande. C'est maltée et alcoolisée. Pour autant ce n'est pas lourd en bouche, le corps reste moyen. La finale est fruitée et houblonnée, ce qui est un peu surprenant au début mais cela apporte de la fraîcheur et de la buvabilité. Une très belle bière dans un style malheureusement assez rare (Sticke Alt).
