DraftDodger (5615) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - DEC 15, 2021
UPDATED: DEC 15, 2021 Copenhagen 16/12 2021. 34,1 cl bottle from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Megadeth's mascot leering at me form the blue label. Pours unclear - almost hazy - golden amber with a mid-sized white head. Settles as thin layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing. Aroma is medium intense with a fruity sweet odor of stone fruits mingling with a spicy and citric scent. Peach and apricot. Lemongrass and coriander. Hints of cloves. Medium strong carbonation. Thin, watery, soft yet lively and tingling texture. Flavor is moderately intense and a bit thin. Medium sweetness followed by a lighter tart sourness. Aftertaste is tart but watery. Lingers shortly. Finish is semi-dry. For a beer sporting a metallized mascot and hailing Megadeth in their old age this is a pretty thin experience. I think Dave Mustaine would have preferred an Imperial Lager holding at least an ABV of 12. .
