tightslice (2689) - Austin, Texas, USA - FEB 14, 2021
UPDATED: FEB 14, 2021 Bottle from East 1st Grocery in Austin, TX. Aroma is apples, bread, fruit bread. Taste is malty, bready, undertones of raisin, sweetness. Not getting much of the smoke. Overall a mild sweet bread beer and a little understated for Unibroue.

UPDATED: AUG 31, 2019 The aroma is spices and smoke. Taste is cereal, apple, yeast, a touch of citrus and more peppery smoke. I liked it more than I thought I would. Well done.

DraftPours23 (2632) - FRANCE - SEP 9, 2018

PellicleSensei9 (235) - Ste-Anne-des-Plaines, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 24, 2018
Bouteille.

Where Purchased: 347ml bottle from LCBO #310 part the brewers holiday mixer pack 2017. Consumed: from a tulip glass. Aroma: Smells pretty boozy at the intake with some maltyness. Appearance : unfiltered medium copper colour with decent head that lasts to the end and very sticky lacing. Taste: Pretty well balanced with a good bit of sweetness and malts followed up by some booze. Finishes pretty sweet. No sign of hops or ant "smoke" flavour". Palate : medium body. Bittersweet aftertaste. Low carbonation. Overall: Not what I was expecting. I was hoping for something closer to a Rauchbier. This was more like a Doubble. Heavier beer then I would expect for 5.5% ABV. I was glad to try another quality beer from this brewer, and will probably buy again. MB. The Beer "Bear"on.

UPDATED: JUN 7, 2018 Nice beer. Smells of grass and cereals and apple. Taste of apple, cinamon, citrus and cereals. The smoked pepper taste comes later and is light. Nice taste, but not so smoked.
