COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This crisp clean dark lager begins with hints of roasted coffee beans and rich chocolate but showcases a surprisingly light body and mouthfeel. This schwarzbier is moderately hopped with noble German hops that compliment the delicate malt backbone. Not to be underestimated, this light lager is a true champion of flavor.

UPDATED: MAR 7, 2019 Been wanting to try this for a while, but was a little pricey for a lager. Found a single can for $2, so was perfect opportunity. About average for the style. Chocolate and roasted malts somewhat mask the rustiness of the base lager. Doesn't really add much sweetness, but just enough to give some flavor. It's one of the mass produced beers distributed in this area...so may try again on tap or something if nothing better offered. There are better out there though.

It's a dark beer, with less taste and a light beer with more flavor. Slight coffee and chocolate flavor plus the slight hop taste. It's a good beer, but different. Personally for this type of beer I prefer a CDA, I think it has a better flavor profile.

Deep heavy dark brown under a foamy light tan head. Big roasty earthy black malt nose with a hint of roast coffee. Smooth flavor that’s gently sweet with overriding notes of semisweet black malt, and a touch of lingering roast. Whisper of cocoa.
