UPDATED: JAN 1, 2022 Draft. Poured black color with an average frothy tan head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy toasted dark chocolate malt aroma. Medium to abundant body with a thick smooth texture and soft carbonation. Moderate to heavy dark sweet flavor with a moderate to heavy dark sweet warming finish of medium to long duration. This is a standout beer.

UPDATED: NOV 22, 2020 Pint can, 2018 vintage. Sweet maple syrup aroma with notes of chocolate, vanilla, caramel and some roasted malt. Pours deep brown with a thin mocha brown head that has little retention or lacing. Starts with rich chocolate malt, caramel and some roasted malt flavors as well as having a rich, full body and slick, viscous mouthfeel. Finishes very smooth with sweet maple syrup and vanilla flavors. Nice imperial stout, but quite sweet.

UPDATED: SEP 16, 2019 16 oz. can from Gretchen - thanks again! Pours a deep, dark brown with amber edges and a finger of tan head that fades into almost nothing after a couple minutes. Vanilla, chocolate, and maple are all prominent here, prominent enough to push everything else down. Maybe some brown sugar, caramel, and roast there. Medium-plus bodied, with modest carbonation and a sticky, sweet mouthfeel. Good. I'd be interested to see what barrel aging does to this.

UPDATED: JUN 29, 2019 Can shared at a Lucky Bamboo share. Pours a thick, deep brown to black with a small tan head that dissipates. Big chocolate malt ball aromas with kitkat, maple syrup vanilla and coffee aromas as it warms. Fairly thick-bodied on the palate with creamy chocolate and vanilla followed by crisp kitkat wafer notes. Lingering choclate kitkat and maple. Really good.
