UPDATED: JAN 7, 2022 440 ml can, as Urbanaut Death Valley IPA ('West Coast' is not mentioned on the label), from Vinmonopolet. ABV is 6.6%. Slightly hazy orange colour, small white head. Aroma of passionfruit, pineapple and other tropical fruits, also pine and spruce. Citric mouthfeel. The flavour is mid between dry and sweet, notes of pine needles, resin, citrus and tropical fruits.

UPDATED: JUN 14, 2021 440ml can from lowcostbeer.com, cant read BBE date. Cloudy gold, small white head, some retention. Fragrant tropical aroma with passionfruit, mango, some resin; promising. Tropical fruit notes are a little more subdued in the flavour although very pleasant. There is a zesty to pine like bitterness in the finish which gives a good juxtaposition to the more mellow and light fruity tang at the beginning. Nice IPA but wont be memorable.

Taste is a bit sweet and fruity with both citric and tropical fruit, pine, fresh grass and decent bitterns. Medium body and fresh, fruity aftertaste. Pretty average modern IPA but well made and easy drinkable.

UPDATED: DEC 9, 2020 Day 8 of Mane Liquor Advent Calendar 2020.
Into an IPA glass at just on chilled. Slightly misty, sunny yellow gold body with rampant medium carbonation pushing up a rocky, tight white finger of foam. Nose has caramelised pale stonefruit, juicy grapefruit and tangelo, buttery mango and hints of passionfruit and pineapple delivering a sweet, rounded hit of fruit to the olfactories. Unexpectedly buttery diacetyl hits first on the palate giving it the flair of a Butter Menthol™ lozenge. Lemon and pear drops compliment with tight apricot and peach late. Medium to low bitterness but there is some lengthy menthol and pine here. Mango in the linger as is some sharper notes of grapefruit. Body is medium-light, yet it is well-rounded with moderate carbonation. Would have liked more pine and ramped up the bitterness but this may have faded considering I don't know when the beer was canned. Otherwise, even with diacetyl nasties it is easily smashable and quite refreshing. Not bad!!! (44cL can, BB 05/08/21, Mane Liquor, Belmont)

UPDATED: SEP 5, 2020 440ml can. Pours a light gold with white head. Soft biscuity malts on the nose with classic new world hops. Medium body with light carbonation. Soft tropical fruits at the front with light dryness at the end.

beer-yum (3530) - Wellington, NEW ZEALAND - AUG 25, 2020
UPDATED: AUG 25, 2020 Alluring citrus pine aroma in an amber pour. Hop forward balance with a fresh citrus fruit body and laid back but sustained clean bitter finish. A tasty reminder of what a WCIPA is in a (currently) NEIPA world.

UPDATED: AUG 18, 2020 Excellent beer. On the tin they talk about pine, passionfruit, mango and lime.. but I would also add a touch of grapefruit. Sounds par for the course in today's world of new world highly hopped beers, but this is done so cleanly and so well. It's like a slightly less alcoholic version of Epic Hop Zombie, one of my all time favourites.
