UPDATED: SEP 27, 2021 Sample thanks to Grumbo, shared with haddock. Misty golden appearance, small white head. Cobweb and tired malts on the nose. Taste brings additional cardboard and oxidised bitterness. It does seem past its best, but then I have seen more unkind comments on the beer fresh.

UPDATED: SEP 27, 2021 Sunday 26th September 2021. 'The quest goes on' tasting with Mat in Chez Sophie. Shared sample from Grumbo; cheers mate. Oxidised for sure, real cobweb feel to this Samoan tick. Can't really score it correctly.

UPDATED: AUG 2, 2021 Large bottle. Golden amber color with a 2 finger white head. Hints of citrus and sweetness.. First mouthful reminded me of DB Green which was made in NZ during the 70s. Beer was pleasant but far too sweet for my palate. I am sure some people would enjoy this beer and go back for me; for me I drank 100ml and threw the rest onto the lawn.

UPDATED: DEC 30, 2019 Bottle. Pours a dark gold colour with a fluffy white head, light hop aroma with some fruit, the taste is medium bitterness and has some sweetness coming through with a dry bitter finish.

UPDATED: DEC 10, 2019 Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers Graham! Clear golden colour, some white bubbles on top and aroma of malt, grain, fruity. Taste is sweet, malty, some toffee and caramel, and fruity with biscuity bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying malty bitter finish. OK

UPDATED: DEC 5, 2019 5/12/2019. Bottle sample courtesy of jtclockwork. Pours clear bright gold with a small short lasting bubbly white head. Aroma of sweet malt, caramel, hops, fruit. Medium sweetness and light to moderate bitterness. Moderate body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Not bad.

UPDATED: MAR 21, 2019 Crystal clear golden color. Aroma of boiled cabbage. Taste is rotted sauerkraut. Coca cola should stop brewing beer. But thanks gentlemen for sharing!

UPDATED: DEC 22, 2018 Ridiculous 750ml bottle all the way from New Zealand. Pours clear gold with a medium-sized airy white head. Aroma is alcohol, grain and malt. Taste is grain, malt, very light bitter finish. Alcohol is well hidden. Actually pretty decent.

UPDATED: DEC 3, 2018 Bottle from Pack and Save in Napier on 15 November 2018. This is my first ever beer from Samoa and much to my delight it was reasonably good. I was expecting a pale and pasty looking beer with little flavour but instead what I got when I poured the beer from the bottle was a vibrant looking amber coloured beer with a big fluffy white head. Medium bodied in the mouth with a strong hit of alcohol in the finish.
