UPDATED: DEC 23, 2021 Quite fine but very far from a tripel found in Belgium. The label says 11.2% and was found in a Lidl so it should be the same.

UPDATED: NOV 28, 2021 Florals and some clove. Amber pour with good head. Decent tripel, with good balance. Some lime. Bottle from buddy who got it at Lidl.

UPDATED: SEP 13, 2020 Bottle from Lidl market. Hazy caramel soda-looking pour. Very bubbly with thick cream colored foam head. Aroma of tart cherry. Sour lambic notes. First sip is very dry. Dark fruits. Plums, raisins, fig. Cherry. Tart, candied fruitcake flavor. Bright, bold and slightly spurn. For me this is not very drinkable and just not a great blend of flavors.

I see that the label says 'tripel', but this isn't a tripel - it's a dubbel. Deep super hazy ruby and light bronze coloured body with a nice two to three centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of alcohol, honey, light grain, malts, a touch of nuts and a dose of light coriander seed and curacao, but the alcohol and astringent notes are the strongest. Medium to Full-bodied; Deep robust wheat and yeast notes at first with a big bready and astringent flavour that ends with a lot of honey and grain, some citrus in the form of curacao and a touch of grasses and dry hay flavours toward the end. Aftertaste is astringent with alcohol, pungent grain, honey and a touch of bitterness from some light hops. Overall, a nice and pungent beer that shows a robust bitter flavour with a lot of alcohol with only a touch of sweetness and a funky yeast note that shows much more of dubbel than a tripel in flavour and smell, but colour as well. I sampled this 33 cL stubby bottle purchased from Lidl Supermarket in Manassas, Virginia by my coworker on 18-January-2018 for US$8,99/four pack sampled at home in Washington as the Belgians beat the Panamanians in the FIFA World Cup 2018 on 18-June-2018. Thanks Tom!

Dark cloudy, orangey-brown, cloudy with a rocky and frothy head. Plenty of lacing as you drink this down. Aroma of fruitcake, dried fruits (raisins, prunes, figs, dried cherries). Flavor is fruity, candied oranges, dried cherries, fig newtons, cinnamon stick, apricot. Mouthfeel is smooth, very drinkable, not sticky or sweet. This is a fantastic beer, and I found it at Lidl Grocery Store for under $10 a four pack. Excellent beer, but I would have to label this as a Quad, not a Tripel.

Bottle. Not sure where from ... someone left it in my fridge after a party. It pours with an enormous head that takes forever to settle enough that I can smell or taste it. The aroma is indeed reminiscent of an orchard, with notes of fall fruits. The description of plum and cherry is pretty accurate, I might throw in some pear. Definitely sugary, quite flavorful, and exceptionally done. (#6856, 12/21/2017)
