UPDATED: MAY 23, 2020 Bottle. Pours a black color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity roasted malty weak smoky chocolate licorice aroma. Roasted malty chocolate caramel bitter flavor. Has a roasted malty chocolate caramel bitter finish.

UPDATED: APR 25, 2020 25-APR-2020, bottle @home, from Meny. Black with a low, tan head. Aroma is peat and chocolate. Taste is peat, tar, ashtray, chocolate. Full, sweet, bitter. Rough yet creamy.

UPDATED: APR 19, 2020 Bottle. Fruity espresso, dusty chocolate, forest fruit, pumpernikel, intense, nice roast in the finish. Very promising, though dragged down by a lean body and an excessive amount of booze.

UPDATED: APR 2, 2020 Pretty good RIS. Heavy and viscous body. Loved it. Nice dark color with a tan head. Roasted malt with a good hop balance.

UPDATED: MAR 27, 2020 33cl bottle from Sip, Tallinn (some years ago). Pours close to pitch black with a bubbly, being head that dissipate almost immediately. Roasty aroma with dark chocolate, dark dried fruits and brown sugar. Smooth, velvety and desserty. Very enjoyable.

UPDATED: MAR 4, 2020 Bottle 33 cl. Pours opaque black with a tiny, rough, beige head - appears a little lifeless. Peat in the nose but also cattle manure - really smells like an old cowshed. Rich, sweet roast - close to flat. Massive, harsh roast, bitter Italian licorice and quite some peat, tar and iodine. Harsh, malt bitter finish. Extremely rough and rustic and to me way, way overrated. 040320

Pours opaque, dark brown with a small. light beige head. Settles as thin, flimsy layer of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing. Aroma is rich, sweet and with a lightly peaty touch. Brown sugar and chocolate. Smoke and light roast. Salty whiff of sea water. Light carbonation. Medium thick, soft, smooth texture. Flavor is medium sweet followed b a slightly more moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is surprisingly bitter. Finish is smoky and boozy. Like a den of debauchery. A Imperial Stout quite on the bitter and smoky side. Not for everyone.
