Funknmilla (781) - WAYNE, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 26, 2021UPDATED: SEP 26, 2021 Tap at the brewpub. Light copper color and refreshing hops on the nose. Mild bitter flavor, aftertaste of lemon seeds & grapefruit...smooth at the same time. Alcohol well hidden in the bitters.Pairing it with the dirtwolf bbq pizza. Yum.
Arbitrage411 (73) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 4, 2021UPDATED: JUL 4, 2021 Rich pour, compact bubbles generous 2.5 finger head. Cloudy, muddy off golden color. Fresh hop but sweet on the nose as head is definite and retained. Flowery fragrant. Subtly strong effervescence and a bitter on the palate which gently dissipates. Quality lacework alongside the walls of the glass. The alcohol is calming, just as an IPA flavor profile is medium to light in the finish. The brewers did their homework here. A keeper.
hedgefun (1) - - MAY 15, 2021 does not count UPDATED: MAY 15, 2021 Can into glass. Sweet floral first whiff. Like Robinhood stole from the sweet to give to the bitter...this beer dances between the two ...first sip..powerful methane...dumpster dive..dirt wolf. Gives way to a gently mellowing mikd sweetness and a touch of bitter...gimme more!!!!
Aggiebob (3426) - Huntsville, Alabama, USA - DEC 17, 2020UPDATED: DEC 31, 2020 Crystal clear gold with a white head that dissipated to a thin covering. Aromatic IPA with earthy, floral and piney notes. Very hop forward. Excellent.
climberbob (777) - Virginia, USA - JUL 23, 2020UPDATED: JUL 23, 2020 Bottle into ipa glass. Big foamy head on a dark straw colored beer. Aroma of pine and malt. Taste is bitter hop initially but then mellows a bit with a decent earthy malt backbone. A stronger hop bitterness and less sweet than other DIPAs which is a surprise. I would prefer a less aggressive hopping but know I am not in the majority on that one... good to try a 6 pack but I don’t think I will go back to this one soon.
capted (53) - - MAY 18, 2020UPDATED: MAY 18, 2020 12oz bottle poured into a glass chalice more than a month before suggested “best by” date. Some early chill haze faded to reveal a mostly clear, pale gold body with moderate carbonation. A frothy, 1/2-finger, bone colored head dissipated slowly leaving gummy rings of lace. Hop-forward aromas of grapefruit, pine, mango and bubblegum with a little doughy pumpernickel emerging as the beer warmed. Punches of tart grapefruit and pungent, woodsy pine up front, then a balancing malty sweetness before a dry, bitter, lingering finish that leaves you thirsty. Medium bodied with a soft, creamy mouthfeel. Mere hint of alcohol in the persistent aftertaste. Big beer!
MacNJ (343) - New Jersey, USA - APR 17, 2020UPDATED: APR 17, 2020 One of our favorites for years (In fact since it’s release date). Crazily, they have $9 growler pours at Victory Kennett Square on Fridays, and this is an unbelievable value at that price.
Tonight, I am pouring from a bottle into a pint glass.
Golden pour with thin head and light lacing. It’s strength lies in its smoothness. Masterfully crafted that the high ABV is unnoticeable. Strong hop punch of pine resin and dried fruits. Great balance of sweetness and bitterness. Cheers!
retinadoc (366) - - MAR 2, 2020UPDATED: APR 20, 2020 Bottle. Subdued hoppy aroma, but very strong hoppy flavor. Medium sweet. Packs a big punch. 8.7% ABV may be a bit too strong; requires slow sipping. Hop/malt ratio ~ 60/40. No off-flavors. Compares favorably with a good double IPA on tap.
Voodoo (908) - Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 1, 2020UPDATED: JAN 1, 2020 Pours a clear golden with a white head.......aroma is a heavy dose of citrus and pine.....taste is hop forward, citrus hits first then moves to and earthy with a PVC chlorine taste ending in pine and bitterness.
sinfull (2827) - Brooklyn, New York, USA - DEC 23, 2019UPDATED: DEC 23, 2019 Clear, golden color. Pine, herbs and malt in the aroma. Strong, hoppy bitterness in taste is balanced by malty background. Classic DIPA.
