jgb9348 (9218) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - DEC 24, 2021
UPDATED: DEC 24, 2021 Hazy golden and straw coloured body with a nice raw honey glow and a fairly subdued, single to two centimetre tall pure white head that's soapy and large. Aroma of lemon peels, crisp oranges and some dry, herbal notes with a light dose of malts towards the end of the nose. Medium-bodied; Crisp citrus and grassy, herbal notes show at first with a good balanced malt profile that provides enough balance and leaves a tiny bit of sweetness here perhaps from some lactose, but the dry hops dominate here. Aftertaste shows some bitterness from the dry and citrusey hops with some balanced malt, and while on the lighter side, nice and balanced. Overall, a pretty nice, clean-drinking, easy-ish but complex newer school IPA that hits the marks nicely, especially in terms of the citrus fruits here while being lighter. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle, purchased from Wegman's [grocery] in Fairfax, Virginia on 14-November-2021 for US$1,99 as part of a mixed six pack, sampled on Thanksgiving Day on 25-November-2021, with my family.

UPDATED: NOV 7, 2021 12 oz bottle from Kroger in Short Pump, VA The ale poured a hazy light dead grass color with a white foamy head and lacing. Good head retention. The aroma of citrus, tangerine, and pale malts greet you. The taste is a mixture of citrus and pineapple. Nice hop bitterness. The mosaic hops add some hints of pine resin. The ale has a medium body and soft carbonation.
