We had this at home in January 2022. We had it in a bottle that we purchased from Binny’s. It says it is an imperial stout but it taste like an IPA to me and I did not care for it ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: NOV 6, 2021 I purchased this 12 oz bottle at the local beer store earlier today. Pulling the cap before pouring into my Cowtown tulip glass. Dark brown in color with a decent head of light tan foam. The nose is hoppy with chocolate lurking behind. I take a drink, wood, bitter chocolate, burnt pecans, grain, hops and molasses. A full drink, not what I hoped. Expected something more memorable.

Pours a very dark brown, maybe even black color. Small beige head. Reduces to only around the rim.

Aroma is vanilla, light cocoa, moderate coffee. Maybe a touch of whiskey.

Taste is vanilla. Touch of chocolate, coffee, hint of berry. Hint of whiskey.

Mouthfeel is full bodied. Alcohol twinge.

Overall, it’s good. Not at all what I was expecting, I’m a little disappointed. I’d probably recommend it and would buy it again.

UPDATED: DEC 14, 2020 Complex aroma of roasted malt with hints of raisins and chocolate. A completely dark beer with a good light brown head. The bitterness in the taste is very strong, it turns into a burnt aftertaste. Medium to dense body with low carbonation.

UPDATED: JUL 23, 2020 Bottle at Cardinal. Pours black with beige head. Aroma of caramel, liquorice, dark bitter chocolate,, roasted notes. Tastes roasted bitter with little sweetness. Full bodied, smooth mouthfeel.

UPDATED: APR 12, 2020 Alluring malt aroma in a jet black pour. Grainy malt body with a hint of chocolate, coffee, and licorice.
