UPDATED: JAN 13, 2019 Bottle (750 ml) at home, split 2-ways. Dark brown with a large creamy beige head, good retention, leaving plenty of lacing. Aroma is of deep caramelized and fruity malts along oak, toffee, hints of roasted malts, chocolate and smoked notes. Taste is of caramel, dark and red fruits, roasted malts, oak, toffee and a touch of alcohol. Medium body. Medium carbonation. A bit oily mouthfee. Fruity and caramel finish with a lingering mineral presence. A complex and interesting sipper with an incredible malt depth (Albion style) as the main feature. Very good!

Sensation : Corps moyen, chaleureuse,, bonne longueur.
Bien faite!

750 ml bottle purchase at Les Marchands de Bières in Sainte-Thérèse (Québec) on May 3, 2017. Dark brown, thin head. Aroma of hoppy caramel fruit and nuts, strong and malty. Taste of hoppy ripe red fruit, grapes and prunes, notes of sweet alcohol. Nice warm flavorful British ale, made in Quebec!

Bottle: Poured a semi-opaque dark brown color ale beer with a large brown foamy head with good retention with some lacing. Aroma of caramelized malt notes with some toffee and some light oak notes is quite nice. Taste is a good mix of caramelized malt notes with some toffee, some residual sugar with some oak and light roasted notes. Body is full with good carbonation with no apparent alcohol notes. Wonderful beer that is perfect for colder weather.

Pours dark brown. Lots of caramel, roasted malts. Some woody and barrel notes too. Creamy and soft mouthfeel. Some sourness, little bit of bitterness. Really good.

Bottle from local iga grocery A: some depth in the caramel : toffee, burnt and even a touch of soft caramel. English feel. A touch of chocolate to. App: dark brown. T/p: full body with moderate to long bitter finish. Soft side carbonation. O: At first, I was afraid by the IBU, that this would have been a bitter mess. It isn't. Definitely to be share, it's massive. Great collaboration.
