Pours non-translucent jet black, beighe head. Aroma of pine needles, resin, exotic fruit. Taste is rather meek and dry due to astringent bitterness. Flavors of slight coffee and dark malt. No citrus or exotic flavors whatsoever. Medium to low body, watery texture, average to low carbonation. Definitely lacks body and any kind of concrete flavor.

Chmiele: Chinook, Cascade, Admiral.
Kolor: Czarny. Nieprzejrzysty.
Piana: Drobno i średniooczkowa w kolorze kawowym. Ładna konsystencja. Opada w dość szybkim tempie redukując się do krótkiego kołnierzyka. Na szkle pozostają dość obfite wąsy piwne.
Zapach : Aromat iglastego lasu z igłami sosnowymi i jodłowymi. Na drugim biegunie owoce tropikalne.
Smak: W smaku jest dość ubogo. Goryczka gra niestety pierwsze skrzypce - jest dość nieprzyjemna w smaku. Ma łodygowy charakter. Brakuje mi tu zdecydowanie owocowego ciała. Nie czuje tu za dużo amerykańskich chmieli;( Jest może jakaś subtelna kawowa nuta, ale nie wyróżnia się ona niczym szczególnym. Piwo jest dość wytrawne, na finiszu z lekką kwaskowatością.
Wysycenie: Średnie.
Podsumowanie:
Jules nie jest niczym wyróżniającym się. Brakuje tu wyraźnie słodowej bazy. Goryczka jest trawiasta, dość osiadająca. Finisz zbyt kwaskowy i wytrawny. Piwo nie ma wad, ale też nie odczuwałem zbytniej przyjemności z jego picia.

UPDATED: JAN 30, 2017 W zapachu anyż, lukrecja i mleczna czekolada skąpana w kawie zbożowej. Kolor czarny jak wyngiel z dosyć gruboziarnistą pianą. W smaku głównie paloność i słodycz czekoladowa, gdzieś w tle z nutami owoców egzotycznych. Piwo jest bardzo pijalne, ale jak i można rzec - bardzo sesyjne.

Z butelki mleczna czekolada. Szkoda, że tylko chwilę i zaraz potem została tylko i wyłącznie kawa. W smaku wytrawne i kawowe. Przytłacza to piwo i przed kanałem ratuje je tylko i wyłącznie świetna wytrawność.

Semi-succesfull beer. Average as far as black IPA is concerned. Generally american hops and roasted malt in aroma and taste. All in quite good balance, but notjing special, nothing to remember. Apperarance: very good black colour, but the head is weak, no lacing at all Aroma: Good typically american citrusy aroma with hints of roasted malt, coffee Taste: Medium bitterness, a bit too long aftertaste, a bit of coffee like sourness - it might be good for stouts fans, also american hops in taste Palate: decent body, a bt oily texture, quite long finish

Aromat cytrusowo chmielowy, palonego slodu i kawy. Barwa czarna. Piana obfita, srednio pecherzykowa, utrzymujaca sie i ladnie zdobiaza szklo. W smaku wytrawne, palone, kawowe. Goryczka srednia, palona, popiolowa, lekko zalegajaca. zalega.

The aroma is roasty and herbal, resinous, with a hint of citrus. Pours near black, clear as much as possible, with a huge, fine, beige head and nice lacing. The taste is herbally bitter, and just a little bit sweet. Body on the light side, carbonation average, finish bitter. Not bad but not really good either; not very bitter but enough to overshadow most of anything else; the combination of roastiness, herbs, and citrus-wannabe just doesn’t quite win my heart, much as I like each in separation.

Bottle, 0.50l. Pours almost black with frothy light brown head, nice lacing and average sparkling appearance. Aroma of grapefruit, roasted malt and resin. Taste starts with moderate sweet roasted malt, follows by citric and roast’ sourness, mouthfeel is dry, while finish is moderate bitter. Medium body, oily texture and soft carbonation in palate. Lacks a bit of mustache to be bolder...

0,5l bottle from Rodzinka Bis. Pours dark brown with a medium tan head. Aroma is roasted malts. Flavor is roasted malts and hops. Nice.

Bouteille 50cl de The Beer Store, Warsaw. BB 07/2015. Brune foncée, col épais crémeux café au lait. Arôme est léger en malt, caramel avec un houblonné un peu plus en avant, le tout rappelant un thé herbacé en rétro-nasal. Palais est un peu ’off’, caractère malté caramel, amertume avec une pointe de ce qui passe pour une fine note aigrelette venant peut être du dry-hopping? Retrouve un houblonné fruité agrumes avec une pointe de pin, star anisé? Le côté grillé perdure en fin de bouche pour une bière qui reste assez correcte.
