DiarmaidBHK (7594) - Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 15, 2021
UPDATED: DEC 15, 2021 Draft at Wedge Foundation. Pours brown and turgid with very little head. Leaves some lacing in the glass. It’s just a big old malt bomb on the nose and tongue. Not much balance or depth of flavor.

Draft. Hazy purple amber color, thick tan head, solid lacing. Aroma of candy and fruitcake. Taste is boozy burnt toast and caramel.

alexsdad06 (16451) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - MAY 4, 2014
Draft at Wedge during RBWG. Pours a hazy amber brown color with a thin beige head. The aroma and flavor have sweet caramel, raisin, fig, dates, additional fruits, molasses, some signs of the alcohol, mild spicy character, just a bit too sweet.

Poured red. nose is luscious fruity grapes and prunes. bread and fruity flavors. again more fruits and copious amount of malt complexities. pretty good and little dry and light on the body made it seem like it was lacking something.

Taster on tap at Wedge during RBWG. Thanks to alexsdad06 for sharing. Hazy dark brown red color. Thin khaki head. Decent retention, leaves some dots of lace. Lots of dark fruit, caramely malt notes. A bigger body. Smooth, lighter carbonation. More dry finish. Good vinous notes in the aftertaste. Moderate sweet taste. Some light syrupy candy sugar. Light mustiness, bruised fruit. Decent American quad.

dmac (6644) - Toms River, New Jersey, USA - FEB 18, 2014
Draft at Appalachian Vintners. Poured a good looking deep dark brown orange body under a smaller foamy light beige head. Aroma was ugh...notes of fruit loops, yeast, chocolate, rubber. Medium dry body that finishes chalky with light csrbonation. Flavor is a bit better than the aroma but that isn’t saying much. Notes of chocolate, prune, plum, lime, raisin, dates and bread. Didn’t care for this at all.

Draft at Appalachian Vintner during RBWG 2014 - Asheville. Pours light, unclear brown with a creamy head. Rich fruits in the nose, gummy bears. Big sweet flavor with some bread, sugary fruits, dates, plums, candies. Full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Warming finish with super sugary fruits. A bit cloying. In the end just a bit too heavy.
