COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hippy Hating Hippie - 4.2% Rose, Cinnamon & Cardamom Stout Brewed for De Molen's Borefts Beer Fest'17, we've harnessed flower power in our own way! There's perfume and spice, a hint of dark Arabian nights. The nose is a heady mix of flavours; light yet alluring. Fresh rose and earthy warmth of cardamom swells to encompass the palate. The body is dry, a fragrant heat full of promise and desire without the bitter aftertaste.

UPDATED: JAN 4, 2022 Keg at Borefts Day 1 22/09/2017. A jet black coloured pout with a loose light tan head. Aroma is woody pine, brown sugars, soft woody roast. Flavour is composed of soft roast, chalky, pine tips, woody bark, liquoprice. Palate is grainy, moderate carbonation, thin, Nod bad.

Cardamom and rose do come through in this stout, with a touch of cinnamon, but other than that it's pretty forgettable.

UPDATED: FEB 19, 2019 Really disappointed ridiculously over carbonated for a gloopy beer. I had to stop pouring as it gushed over the glass rim. I ended up pouring what was left into a pint glass. Really dark chocolate coloured beer with a huge creamy mocha coloured head. The aroma is rather delicate and difficult shall I say it’s unusual but has a medicinal odour. There’s a cardamom and rose bouquet coming through but despite its flirting doesn’t entice me. The flavours are as the nose and are bold enough to stand up and give an opinion but it wasn’t worth listening to. The follow through is a little spicy and surprisingly there’s a light sourness which becomes a little bitter. In the end it’s more like the aftertaste of sucking a cough drop. First Weird Beard beer if didn’t like.

Clear dark brown beer, no head. Aroma: spicy, sage and rosemary, roasted. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: very herbal, weird, coffee touch, spicy, very roasted, hoppy bitterness. Aftertaste: roasted, coffee, bit herbal, decent enough, little weird.

UPDATED: DEC 6, 2017 Opaque dark brown/black beer with slight yeast and with a slight brown head. Slight/medium aroma; taste starts medium sweet and ends slightly bitter and dry. Extrenely nice added ingredienta together with the flavourful base stout.

LCI. Van de tap @BBF2017. Lekkere licht bloemige stout, de bloemige smaak doorbreekt de standaard stout-smaak

Smells delicious but when it comes to actual flavour its is bitter earthy and forgetable over floral and the spices make it bitter and powdery more then anything else. Okay but promised more.
