jgb9348 (9218) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - SEP 30, 2020
UPDATED: SEP 30, 2020 Super clear golden coloured body with a non-existant head, but no real character - at least from the look of this one. Aroma of grass, funky alternative malts, some light rice or corn with a good deal of citrus and some tart or spontaneously fermented yeast - a bit unexpected, at least in the nose, but nice and interesting in the smell. Light-bodied; Relatively strong tart and funky yeast comes through with a light corn and specialty grain note along with a dry, slightly grainy profile that has some lemon and pure citrus notes with a soft sweetness and a touch of herbal and very perfumey, almost tea-like chamomile notes that end this very nicely. Aftertaste shows a crisp, dry and very noticeable spontaneously fermented or bretty/lactobilly yeast profile that has a tart and floral taste, with a good deal of both lemons and limes and even a slight salty/briney flavour at the very end. Overall, a nice and crisp beer with a tart, floral and complex profile that has an interesting yeast bite that shows a much more robust taste than I was expecting or typical for the style/lightness of the style. A good beer that is worth trying, either during summer, or on the last [hopefully] hot day of the year, at least here in Washington. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 21-December-2019 for US$2,59 sampled at my house here in Washington on 29-September-2020 on the night of the 1st Presidential Debate.

UPDATED: AUG 30, 2020 16oz can pours out pale straw topped with a white head. Nose is lime some candy swetness and a little tart touch. Taste is more of the nice sweet grain notes lime kick and touch of tartness. I would say they nailed a beer you can drink on a hot day.
