UPDATED: NOV 30, 2020 Can pour, gold with a light cloudiness. Subtle lemon aroma. Flavors of banana and yeast like a typical Belgian beer, only getting the lemon and ginger at the very end and it is very light.

UPDATED: SEP 15, 2020 Can. Zesty citrus notes, coconut, yeast cake, almost no ginger. Neither flavourful nor crisp as expected yet still drinkable.

UPDATED: SEP 7, 2020 Tap at Takanoya. Slightly hazy gold with a large head. Nose is lemon, lemongrass, ginger. Ok, the diacetyl I thought I smelled is Sorachi Ace as usual... Sweet and spicy, a bit overpowering for me, lemon grass, Sorachi creamy butter and oak, ginger. Crisp body, decent finish. Well done though a few sips is enough for my taste.

UPDATED: DEC 17, 2019 Pours clear, bright golden with a three finger, white head. Aroma is citrus, ginger and wheat. Taste is light caramel, and ginger, moving to lemon, Belgian yeast and wheat. Finish is lemon and ginger. Decent wit.

UPDATED: NOV 27, 2019 Draft. Straw yellow in colour with slight haze and medium carbonation. Aromas of banana, mild chili flakes, orange peel. Flavors of flaked grain, more banana and chili, plus some lime leaf. Medium bodied, but dries out nicely.

UPDATED: AUG 12, 2019 12 oz can. Pours hazy golden with tall, long lasting, fluffy white head and nice lacing. Aroma is of yeast, wheat malt, spices and citrus fruit. Body is medium and smooth. Wheat malt, yeast, herbal hops, lemon grass and spices fill the mouth. Finish is long and spicy. Good brew.

UPDATED: FEB 8, 2020 Can. Yellow gold in color with a medium sized head. Aroma is spicey. Taste is spicy good.

UPDATED: AUG 6, 2019 Half growler. Hazy, golden pear body with a film of creamy foam. Nose is coriander, ginger, bubblegum and orange zest. Taste steps it up a notch with clove gum, ginger, coriander, orange zest and wheat cracker. A touch of mildly sour grass shows in later sips and provides a tasty hint of cucumber when working with the other flavors. Near-medium mouthfeel with smooth, medium carbonation. The delicate counterbalance to the sweet provided by the dry-ish spice and herb mix is pulled off in just the right proportions to be interesting but not overwhelming.

UPDATED: JUL 31, 2019 Draft at Craft Brewed. Pours a clearish gold with a finger of white foam that dissipates. Really nice witbier from WB. Balanced coriander, yeast, wheat and orange zest aromas and flavors. Some clove-like esters. Dry but a bit thin on the palate. Still enjoyable.

UPDATED: APR 20, 2019 Aroma: Medium-high lemon grass Appearance: Murky, straw body. Small, white head. Good retention. Fine bubbles. Flavour: Medium lemon grass. Medium-light bitterness. Dry finish with light lemongrass Mouthfeel: Medium body, Medium carbonation. Overall: The lemongrass overpowers any other flavours or aromas.
