UPDATED: JAN 8, 2022 Flaska hemma. Årgång 2017. Disig mörk gyllengul med vitt skum. Lätt maltig doft med blommiga och fruktiga toner samt en aning säd. Något söt maltig smak med komplexa toner av torkad frukt, blommighet samt viss kryddighet och lite skumbanan och kryddnejlika. Lätt beska och viss sötma. Fyllig lite sträv.

UPDATED: DEC 25, 2021 Bottiglia da 33 cl. Acquistata presso Iper. Schiuma bianca, persistente. Colore dorato. Al naso sentori fruttati. Sapore maltato con amaro leggero. Tasso alcolico alto ma non invadente.

UPDATED: DEC 17, 2021 Over eight years old bottle, best before 03/10/2013. Pours copper colour, no head. Quite hazy. Carbonation probably disappeared a lot, but still some left. Smooth mouthfeel. Sweet malty aroma. Caramel, dark fruits, spices, dark sugar and oh yes, more caramel.

UPDATED: DEC 16, 2021 Servida en el cáliz de Chimay. Color ámbar, bastante turbia. Genera una gran capa de espuma blanca de buena retención. Aromas florales, especias y cereales. En boca es una maravilla, abundante carbonatación y cuerpo medio. Destacan las notas a plátano, dulzor de la malta, miel y especias. Bien integrada la gran carga alcohólica, se siente pero no empaña el resto de sabores. Tripel fuerte y con carácter.

UPDATED: DEC 13, 2021 I've had this beer many times before and enjoyed it, but never rated it until now. 11.2-ounce bottle pours a bright golden-yellow color with a 2' foamy white head and residual lacing; lots of rapidly rising carbonation in glass. Aroma: herbal, floral, banana. Flavor: honey, banana, clove, nutmeg, butter, yeast, fresh-baked bread. Mouthfeel: medium- to full-bodied with velvety-soft palette and some prickly carbonation and bitterness at the finish. Some boozy warmth at the close. The Belgian tripel is my favorite style of beer, and this is the tripel by which the category should be judged.

UPDATED: DEC 6, 2021 An almost clear straw body with a finger of head. Aroma is fruit esters, mild earthy, and dry grains. Taste is fruits and alcohol heat finish. Texture is light and fairly carbonated.

UPDATED: OCT 12, 2021 0.33 bottle from Maxi, Belgrade. Contains sugar. Beautiful honey-like, malty aroma. Pours cloudy dark yellow color with thick long lasting head. Taste is strong, sharp, sweet, hoppy, malty. Notes of fruit, melon. Moderate carbonation. Texture thick, sticky. Palate refreshing, fruity. Another great Belgian beer.

UPDATED: OCT 11, 2021 Butelka z 21.01.2021, pite ~9 miesięcy po rozlewie. Nalewa się złote, delikatnie mętne, bardzo obfita, całkiem trwała. W zapachu fenole, mocno pieprzne, goździkowe, lekko bananowe, ładnie pachnie. W smaku dalej mocno pieprzowe, wręcz lekko ostre, sporo goździków, wytrawnie, na finiszu delikatnie słodki banan z lekką chmielową ziołowością. Smaczne całkiem, ale jednak triple to nie mój klimat.

UPDATED: OCT 2, 2021 Bottle from somewhere or other, its been hanging around a while. Pours light cloudy gold with moderate sized white head, some retention. Aroma is creamy, wheat, light banana, butter, yeast, spice, leafy and floral hop. A lot going on here. Taste starts quite sweet with creamed wheat, confectionary banana, apple, then the booze kicks in finishing with spices and a hoppy grassy bitterness. Its a big boozy, spicy, hoppy trippel with a fruitiness to balance. Not lacking in complexity but the alcohol distracts from more subtle notes mid-palate. Its the only thing stopping this being a great beer in my view but its still very good and recommended.
