Antrunk: sauer,
Beer5000 (9502) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - SEP 22, 2020UPDATED: SEP 22, 2020 Bottle. Clear, dark golden to red-amber body with almost no head. Aroma of malt, caramel, dry fruit, raisons and warming alcohol. Taste is quite sweet with malt, dry fruit and quite much alcohol. Fine body and long lasting aftertaste. Nice sipper, but a bit boozy after a while.
solar (128) - - JUL 26, 2020UPDATED: AUG 2, 2020 A massive and well-crafted ale in the barleywine style. Pours an opaque reddish-gold color with quickly reducing medium tan head. Good lacing. No yeast tendrils as some report. Light nose of burnt sugar, caramel, figs, malts, biscuit, figs and dark bread. Bold and complex taste profile of the same proportions amplified, plus a hefty alcohol presence. Sweet at the onset slowly morphing to a pleasant full-bodied hoppy aftertaste. Full mouthfeel. This particular brew is very rich, even more so than the benchmark Sierra Nevada Bigfoot which I also enjoy. No lightweights here! Yum! Highly recommended if you are in the mood for a colossal beer.
dambor (1578) - Berlin, GERMANY - JUL 25, 2020UPDATED: JUL 25, 2020 Pours ruby red with small head disappearing fast.
