UPDATED: MAR 12, 2019 At first wasn't that in to this. Then I recalled it is a Belgian-style pale ale which adds some fruity/tartness...a little sweeter...and slightly more bitter than the standard APA. Grew on me with each additional sample from the 6-pack. I guess I still would rather have a true Belgian or straight APA, but not this type of hybrid.

disclosure: bad experiment in ageing. but found it, decided to try it. - pours deep amber with a white thin head that quickly disappears. cloudy with visible yeast sediment. aroma is a combination of different elements of oxidation. green apples, estery/solventy and horse blanket. there’s no hop presence left. so the remaining flavors are just malt sweetness and maybe some candy sugar. surprisingly the oxidation from the nose, does not carry heavily into the flavor. its almost all malts like a Scottish ale. body has thinned out, carbonation is also very light and there is an astringency that borders on harsh. despite all this, it finishes dry and only the above mentioned harshness lingers on. - way past its prime

Pours deep clear amber. Aroma is full of sweet roasted malt, coffee and milk chocolate. Taste is very smooth, and has a coffee/chocolate flavor kind of hoppy.

Aroma citrus, herbs, dough, Orange Appearance amber, hazy, cloudy, frothy, tan foam, Taste medium sweetness, lightly bitter, Palate medium body, average carbonation, Overall a unique beer that is average. I wouldn’t turn one down but I don’t think I would buy one again. I wouldn’t suggest this beer to a friend but I wouldn’t say don’t drink that

Mild pine and citrus aroma. Hazy burnt yellow body with minimal head. Bold bitter start is balanced with a bread and lemon combination. Pleasant finish.

on tap at J B Dawson’s in Langhorne - very good Belgian ale. You can taste the quality. Nice flavor.

12 oz bottle at Howler’s in Pittsburgh. Sweet and somewhat perfume flavored. A nice balance of hops that is not overdone. A nice addition in the very fine Weyerbacher family.

12oz bottle to tulip glass. Aroma is primarily yeast. Dough. Hops. Citrus and herbs. Appearance is orange to light amber. Three finger frothy white head dissipates quickly leaving some lacing. Taste crisp and is lightly sweet with some medium bitterness complimenting well with the sweetness. This creates almost a tart like flavor. Some light sourness. Medium bodied. Oily Texture. Lively carbonation. Long lightly bitter finish. This beer is different. It is like a Belgium, a sour and a crisp IPA blended together. Overall I gotta say I like it. I will defiantly buy again. Would make a good spring/ early summer beer as well as anytime.

Pale amber, clear initially, hazy later. Attractive, earthy and herbal nose. Light body, slight flavor density, rich but refreshing mouthfeel, good carbonation, long and austere finish. Dry, bitter, refreshing acidity. Hoppy but also fruity, touch of dry malt. Elegant and interesting more than delicious but I can see it being someone else's favorite beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
