UPDATED: JAN 5, 2022 Can, from Beer52. Deep red brown, fluffy and sustained pale beige head and gentle condition. Gentle berry fruitiness, muted burnt toffee and some roasted barley in the nose. Quite sweet and yeasty in the mouth with some earthy roasted barley bitterness and a little more berry fruits. Finish has a solid hop and roasted barley bitterness, a low yeast note and some lingering toffee.

UPDATED: DEC 9, 2021 Can from Beer 52. Pours a dark orange-brown with a small transient cream head. Malts and raisins in the aroma. Sweet creaminess initially in the mouth, but very quickly followed by bitter roasted malts together with treacle, parkin and raisins. There’s a rye style spicyness as well, which lingers in the finish. This is a decent beefy “Irish red “ beer.

UPDATED: NOV 27, 2021 Good wintry flavoured red ale, raisins, caramel and toffee, nice bitterness and a toasty bread flavour and finish.

UPDATED: NOV 26, 2021 [33cl can from Beer52.] A hazy mahogany coloured pour with a golden glow and a tight beige head; aroma of toast and raisins; smooth malty body with a touch of raisins and cane sugar; and a little burnt grain adding bitterness to the finish. A substantial and satisfying Red Ale.

UPDATED: NOV 25, 2021 Beer52. Pours very dark mahogany with a decent creamy head. Aroma is dark malts, Christmas cake, dark fruits, licorice and pine. Chewy malty mouthfeel. Taste is dark fruit loaf, rye toast, burnt caramel, licorice, dark fruit, pine resin and dried orange peel. Decent for the style!

UPDATED: NOV 19, 2021 Can from Beer52, pours a deep dark red-brown with a big fluffy foam and a lightly toasty-sweet nose with hints of red fruit and toffee. Burnt-sweet and malty, a bit sticky and burnt-bitter, touches of grapefruit and redcurrant jam.

UPDATED: NOV 6, 2021 Can. Sweet, brown sugar and caramel, albeit it tasted artificial to me. Sticky molasses, spice. Some present flavours, but it just didn't mix well for me, and I'm admittedly not a big red ale fan in general, so...
