UPDATED: DEC 11, 2021 Yes, I now have a 33 cl bottle of Lot 01/2021 Ankles Breaker in hand for a sampling. Purchased from a continental seller, I put my New Belgium snifter in place for the pour. I see a semi-transparent, cedar colored body finished by a ring of silver, finely bubbled foam. I dig the smell, dried fruit, candy and bread. The drink is really pretty good, grain, malt, figs, prunes, toffee, syrup and toasted wheat bread. A superb presence, very full, lots of carbonation. White Pony still impresses.

UPDATED: OCT 18, 2021 Amber pale pour with a nice reddish tint to it, thin off white head and thin bands of lacing ….. aroma of rye, faded hops, caramel malts, earthy, roasted malts, definitely has a barleywine to the aroma …. Taste is of dry spicy rye, earthy hops, roasted malts, caramel malts, dark fruits and roasted malts …. Dry, bitter hops on the back end …. Finish has spicy rye, earthy hops and some bitter dry hops along with roasted malts …. Simple brew, abv hidden well, doesn’t drink like much of a barleywine

Aromat wiśni i miodu.

MarcoDL (8408) - NETHERLANDS - JUL 21, 2020
UPDATED: JUL 21, 2020 Bottle. Amber pour. Aroma of sweet raisin, caramelised malt, rye, figs, dates, vanilla and orange candy. Taste has bitter raisin, caramelised malt, orange candy, a little yeast, vanilla, rye and booze. Body is a bit thin. Solid stuff, but does not stand out in any way.

UPDATED: MAY 11, 2019 11.2 oz bottle 5/10/19 (Binny's Naperville) 39° in Snifter. Pours a hazy amber with a small white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma of sweetness, caramel, and toffee. Taste of the same. this medium to full bodied brew hides the ABV very well. Nice brew.

It pours amber with an off white head. It has a medium full body with soft carbonation. The taste has dry malt, stone fruit, crackers, spice and the yeast seems to be mix of Abbey and American. The final had more fruitiness that's all pretty soft and easy drinking, but there whole thing is strange for something called a barley wine, but don't really know what else you'd call it

Karamel bruine kleur met een goede kraag. Ruikt zoetig, zacht, vanille. Smaakt zoetig, bitterzoet, kruiden, honing, butterschotch.

Almost clear amber pour with a medium sized head. Malt, honey, caramel, burnt sugar, pancake syrup and an alcoholic aroma. Over medium sweet and halfway medium bitter. Almost full body with moderate carbo. Good stuff, sip slowly though!!!!
