Leighton (30699) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 20, 2019
UPDATED: JAN 20, 2019 Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up in Sofia, likely at Nosferatu. Pours deep brown with a fluffy khaki head. Lots of ashy roast in here, black coffee, dry scorched earth. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Dry finish, ample bittersweet baking cocoa, more ash, bitter coffee. Pretty straightforward. Not bad.

UPDATED: DEC 31, 2018 pure classic stout, velvet dark drink with no extra infusions, simply firm perception of what a stout should taste of - thick, smooth and mellow. my favourite stout up to now.

Trolleo (6614) - Manchester, Greater Manchester, ENGLAND - DEC 23, 2018
UPDATED: DEC 23, 2018 Bottle. Lovely coffee aroma, chocolate and cocoa, some alcohol and mezcal. Pitch black color with minimal sized brown head. Lots of cocoa, bitter, some licorice, bittersweet finish. Thin to medium body, flat.

bilcho1 (1487) - Ruse, BULGARIA - JUN 2, 2018
330ml bottle, shared with a friend at home on a cool spring evening. Pours opaque with a thin fast-settling beige, foam-and-froth head, medium lacing that persisted after the head had settled, no visible rising carbonation. Dark brown to black in colour. On the nose, burnt toast, molasses bitter dark chocolate. In the mouth, low to medium carbonation, dry at first and slightly sour with sweetness emerging and rising, some toast, coffee, chocolate and roasted flavours, medium texture with a long semi-sweet finish. Overall, slightly less impressive than the Blek Pine Stout, but still one of Bulgaria's better brews.

Bottle at Beera, pours black with a medium tan head. Nose is nicely roasted, with medium roasted malt and a touch of cocoa. Flavour is along the same lines, with medium roasted malt running through this. Dry and roasted. By the books but well done. Very good.

Pours deep brown with a thin beige head. Nice cocoa aroma. The taste has burnt notes, choc and coffee. A little thin bodied and high carbon for the style. Quite bitter in the finish. Fairly decent overall.

0.33l bottle from Bulgaria. Aroma: roasty, chocolate, malty, coffee. Dark brown color, medium beige head, medium carbonation, thick, dry ending, light to medium body. Taste: little bit sour from roasted malt, coffee, burned toast, red fruit. Nice bitterness in the end.

romib (22) - - FEB 7, 2018
UPDATED: FEB 7, 2018 Low foam, short lasting, smell of coffee -cocoa which to me created olives. Nice dark color of roasted malt. Strong coffee and cocoa taste, coffee -like light sour taste in the background, a drop of lemon juice, quite bitter for a stout. A bit watery body.
