bilcho1 (1487) - Ruse, BULGARIA - JUN 2, 2018330ml bottle, shared with a friend at home on a cool spring evening. Pours opaque with a thin fast-settling beige, foam-and-froth head, medium lacing that persisted after the head had settled, no visible rising carbonation. Dark brown to black in colour. On the nose, burnt toast, molasses bitter dark chocolate. In the mouth, low to medium carbonation, dry at first and slightly sour with sweetness emerging and rising, some toast, coffee, chocolate and roasted flavours, medium texture with a long semi-sweet finish. Overall, slightly less impressive than the Blek Pine Stout, but still one of Bulgaria's better brews.
