Overall: boozy but controlled, lots of smooth flavour and texture, big spices.

Hazy, reddish amber colour with slightly late awakening, small, thick, creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Slightly sugary malty and fruity aroma, notes of caramel and dreid fruit, raisin, some marzipan, a touch of toffee and apricot. Taste is moderately sweet malty, minimally sugary, bitter hoppy counterweight, fruity hints of dried fruit, apricot, raisin, soem caramel, toffee, marzipan, a minimally dry, papery touch. Nice.

j.hi (45) - - JUN 22, 2017Like Barley Wines. This is a very good one. Lies heavy. Foggy appearance. Few small bubbles that are slow to rise because of thickness of brew. Light Carmel color nice Carmel-porter mix of taste. Last sooo long on the tongue and in the mouth. Only need to drink every ounce in a while. Smooth and high alcohol.
