Deep caramels, slightly bitter finish, melding well with earthy and citric hop aromas, light biscuit, bittersweet

Bomber from Hayduke that we had together via facebook chat. A nice looking beer, it is orange gold and glows. A nice off white head is half the glass on the first pour but falls is due time leaving a table top mesa. I get sulfur and west coast fruity hops in the nose. Early on I taste fairly big bitterness and fruit. The bitterness calms somewhat. I taste hops forward and they bring citrus fruit and pine. A little tropical. The English hops are background but do add some distinct flavors to this IPA. Malts are sometimes toasty and even a little caramel. Very late they taste pale and. An interesting beer.

A shared tasting with Strykzone on Facebook Chat. This pours an amber-orange that you might call copper with a beige head. Lacing is quite good. Nose is roast malts and both floral and citrus hops. Medium plus body. Smooth and soft mouth feel. The flavor is roasted malts, some citrus and floral hop and a touch of fruit. The finish is earthy and dry and of course bitter as you expect in an IPA. Interesting take on an IPA with a distinct English touch, and quite easy drinking and enjoyable.

Bottle. Amber beer with a cream head. light grapefruit and light caramel aroma. Grapefruit and pine flavor. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Grapefruit and pine linger.

Musty grapefruit and grain are the main notes here. Not destroyingly bitter considering the intimidating-looking hop bill - finishes dry, not super bitter, which is appreciated. Not a very complex flavor profile, but decent and drinkable.

A nice change of pace for an IPA. A great beer for people who don’t normally drink IPAs, as it’s definitely not a palate wrecker. It won’t take the paint off a wall. Very well balanced, most notably in the malt. Recommended pairing: mushroom pizza with lots of mushrooms and mozzarella cheese (and some truffle oil if you got it). It’s a very comfortable IPA.

Would be a decent pale alebut lacking as an IPA. Nice malt combo going on which saved it from being crap. The lightly citrus and grapefruit notes are nice, but far too light.

22oz bottle purchased at Bel Air in Woodland. Drink by 8/23/15. Not sure how old that makes this beer. The aroma has a weird, rye-like peppery note. Also some sweet caramel maltiness, too. Perhaps some earthy hops. Really seems like an English or east coast IPA. Body is a ruddy copper color with a medium to large, strong foamy egg-shell head present. Starts with a sweet, sugary caramel malty flavor. The middle is mildly bitter with earthy and herbal hop flavors. Abundant carbonation is present. Finishes with a little residual stickiness. Meh.

Strong resinous aroma, grapefruit and pine with caramel and bready maltiness Pours a cloudy amber color with medium sized rocky off white head that lasts Sweet caramel and bready malt flair with loads of grapefruit and piney hops. Bomber from Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours hazy copper with an off-white head. Aroma is somewhat roasty malt with lots of mostly citrus hop. Med + body. Flavor is roasty malt with a lot of floral/citrus hop. Pretty dry. Kind of like a highly hopped best bitter.
