COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We’ve saved a very classy ale for the last of our four seasonal brews of 2015, Scotland’s Year of Food & Drink. Bear is a velvety smooth Russian Imperial Stout, exuding vanilla, espresso coffee and bitter dark chocolate flavours.

It’s been six months in the making; barrel aged for three months and bottle conditioned for another three months. We’ve achieved 10.5% ABV with all the intense rich flavours you would expect from this majestic ale, perfect for savouring over the festive season.

There are just 2,268 bottles, so don’t leave it too late to get yours or to let your loved ones know it’s on your wish list.

We’ve received great feedback on our 2015 seasonal brews so far and we’ll be adopting Aurora, our Spring release, into our core range of products through 2016, in cask and in bottle sometime later in the year.

Metalchopz (5735) - Cantley, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 28, 2021
UPDATED: OCT 28, 2021 Almost pitch black, as not much highlights are seen. Mocha-coloured bubbly, silky-creamy head with light lacing. Roasted barley aromas with a warming alcohol, a touch of coffee, molasses. Even hints of maple syrup, also found in the taste. Flavours a roasted malts, well-balanced alcohol with mild grassy hops. A smooth mouthfeel at first with a building dry finish. This would be a nice winter warmer Impy stout.

UPDATED: OCT 2, 2021 Taken in the evening as we embarking on a new adventure going to the island of Cthul, strong stout, nice taste, lack a bit of thickness and opacity to make the passing mark.

dandeman (1821) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 21, 2021
UPDATED: SEP 12, 2021 This bottle is coming from Amstein. Bottled on 2015, if I am not wrong. Opening it yesterday at home, in Epalinges after the job, at the night. A perfect friend for the bed with a black body, troubled, average carbonation for the style, thin white and brown foam. A solid and classical imperial stout, generous side of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate and vanilla, smooth with a touch of dryness and tobacco at the final, some hop, boozy at the final but it is not unpleasant, good job.
