DeanF (9135) - New Westminster, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 1, 2018UPDATED: DEC 1, 2018 Okay dark ruby brown body with minimal head, nice sugary coffee aroma. Flavour is big sweet coffee with a very identifiable coconut finish. Dry on the mouth. A good version of one of these but still middling on the base porter.
DuffMan (10981) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - MAR 9, 2018Can shared at game night with Parksy, heavylavey, and TVM. Subtle coconut gives an elegant accent to a pleasing porter base, roast and cocoa.

beerplace (6389) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 31, 2017Tall can from the High Point. Canned on 2017-12-01. Pours a dark broen with a beige head. Aroma is roasted malt with some slight sweetness. Sinilar taste with very slight coconut notes. Good stuff.
patricks110 (2897) - Alberta, CANADA - DEC 12, 2017Nice beer. Pours fully opaque black, thin tan head. Nose is beautiful; coconut, coffee beans, roasted and dark chocolate. Quite fruity with a light raisin presence. Licorice in the profile, coconut is mild. Toasted and roasted malts, full body, no carbonation.
pictoman (3080) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 26, 2017Poured from the tap. Light black with beige head. Light chocolate with coconut undertones. Good combo.
Oakes (26757) - Gibsons, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 16, 2017Dark brown with an attractive bubbly head. The aroma is rich, chocolate and roast...stouty...with light coconut. That kokosnussmilch is much more prominent on the palate, a nice rich, fatty can of Arroy-D accenting the chocolatey stout beautifully. The body is medium, bitterness just right and malt sugars as well. A beer like this can go wrong in a lot of ways; they did a fantastic job.
Gerbeer (5947) - Nanoose Bay, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 6, 2016On tap. Pours black with light head. Aromas of dry roasted malts and light chocolate. Flavors of same with a bit of fruitiness and a hint of coconut. Pretty simple but easy to drink.
wquirk (9) - British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 13, 2016 does not count Can. Jet black with minimal tan head.
Fruit, raisin and sweet aroma.
Taste of liquorice and chocolate. Toast on the finish.
More carbonation than I expected. Light and thin.
Overall, it didn’t blow my socks off like most Yellow Dog beers.
ljthiessen (1753) - Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA - NOV 27, 2015Can. Dark brown pour with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty chocolate, creamy, a little roasty, not much coconut. Taste is sweet with some roasty bitterness, chocolate with a touch of fruit and creaminess. Almost too sweet, maybe some unfermented sugars, and a bit thin. Maybe a hint of coconut but not much. A little disappointing.
