COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed in the style of a west coast Imperial IPA, this daring brew is built for the bitter-loving hop fan. Brewed with an abundant blend of Northwest hops, this big ale begins with a crisp hop burst, both floral and bitter, yet settles into a surprisingly smooth ale.

Can at El Rey Burrito Lounge, Montgomery. Sweet and resinous aroma with caramel malt, grapefruit, sweet orange, and loads of thick pine resin. Rather sweet flavour with an equally firm bitterness. Body is medium to full with a sticky feel. Überresinous, which I generally like, bit this one lacks some fruity counterbalance.

Bottle. Strong hop flavor with a nice bitterness. Also some pine and spice. Very nice beer.

Aggiebob (3426) - Huntsville, Alabama, USA - NOV 16, 2016
Draft at brewery. Dark gold in color, poured with a thin white head and lace ring. The aroma is floral with some dankness on the backend. Moderately bitter finish.

Foxbush (3019) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - MAY 7, 2015
Bottle at Dream lake in Alabama The ale poured an amber color with a small head . There was citrus and pine resin on the nose. The ale had a medium body with soft carbonation. The higher alcohol may have muted some of the hop bitterness. The bitterness does become more pronounced at the end. This was the first beer enjoyed after fishing for large mouth bass all day.

Travlr (30307) - No fixed abode, South Dakota, USA - NOV 20, 2014

snoworsummer (9157) - baltimore, Maryland, USA - AUG 18, 2014
Draft at the Huntsville Brewery. Pours clear copper with a fizzy white head. Tastes like musky cereal malt, butterscotch, and bitter hops. Light/medium body and low carbonation. Smells musky, creamy, buttery, light pine and citrus.

2.7
DiarmaidBHK (7594) - Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 26, 2014
Draft at taproom. Pours light orange with a half inch of khaki foam. Leaves some lacing in the glass. Big pine on the nose. Big pine on the tongue. Finishes with a lot of bitterness. It’s basically like French kissing a pine tree. Not a lot of balance here. This is probably my record for most sentence fragments in a review. I find the description of being a surprisingly smooth ale really deceptive since my sister made a straight-up bitter beer face while sampling this.
