COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Texas Amber is an American-style amber lager, pouring dark but brewed to be smooth and medium bodied. A blend of U.S. and imported hops imparts a hint of bitterness to balance out the malty sweetness from darker malts, giving it a crisp yet sweet finish.

KevinReddirt (1138) - Midland, Texas, USA - AUG 14, 2020
UPDATED: AUG 14, 2020 One of those “local” beers that somehow has failed to be rated. I think of Ziggy being more a Bock, like Shiners, than an amber. Oh well, for better minds than mine to determine. This 25 oz can came from the cooler at the closest HEB, brown bagging it this extremely hot August evening. Flip the tab and take a long, full drink. You know what, it does have more of that amber influence against my recollection. Grain, water, bread, a bit of caramel and perhaps some sorghum. Slammable and sessionable if there is a difference between the two. This beer is not displeasing.

UPDATED: AUG 1, 2019 Bottle purchased in Austin, TX. Pours a clear medium brown/very dark bronze color with an off-white head and fair retention. No lacing. Indistinct aroma. Strong, sweet caramel flavor dominates, with a short finish. Low carbonation gives it a somewhat flat mouthfeel. Simple and tasty. Easily repeatable.

Dadsbeer (18) - - APR 27, 2019
Has black malts. It is so good. It is very very smooth. Looks good except head and lacing wasn’t up to the rest of the rating. I enjoyed it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
