Excellent beer store in what looks like sn unassuming neighbourhood grocery store block in Vlissingen. Expect 700+ beers, all well-chosen from some of the more exciting craft breweries from around the world. Lots of rarities and barrel-aged one-offs. Very helpful enthusiastic staff. Good selection from local breweries such as Kees, which was all i was interested in. A must-visit when in Zeeland. Also runs the webshop acedrinks.nl.

Nice to be here, great selection of european beers and american beers. Found a lot of Kees and de moersleutel. Biside that they’ve got a big selection of very rare beers and you’ll find Brewers like; firestone, founders, emelisse, laugar, brewdog, bruery, 3fonteinen, cantillon, struisse etc..

A nice small liquerstore in an area you don’t really expect. They have a quality selection of beers from all over the world and the staff are enthousiasts who really want to help you. Also they arrange tastings and such so it’s rewarding to make contact! Really outstanding service you don’t always get.

Liquor store department of the Emté supermarket in bit dull looking neighborhood. Once inside though there is lots of beers, lots of locals (Kees, Emelisse, some other small breweries) and an interesting collection of American /non Dutch stuff. Amazing enthusiastic clerk with a lot of knowhow and a pleasant helpful attitude. Bought Mexican Cake, Old Numbskull, Prairie Okie, some rarer Emelisse white labels and barrel aged beers and completed my line of Kees Barrel Projects. The place to be for this area!

Small bottleshop that’s part of the supermarket next door, you’d never expect all the gems inside. It’s not big, but they have lots of nice local beers, lots of European beers, and a whole lot of high quality and hard to find US beers too.

The service was exceptional here, the guy running this place has a strong passion for beer, gives good advice had makes good conversation. He even offered us some Bourbon County under the counter, hahaha. They have a good collection of whisky with some hard to find gems, and I got a nice little sample bottle for free.

Love this place!

Update August 2021: Now under their new name, 'Ace Drinks', not 'Slijterij Paauwenburg' anymore. The shop hasn't changed that much, apart from the interior. It's still somewhat attached to the supermarket next door ('Emté' has become 'Jumbo'), even employees from there work here (with little knowledge though I guess). The selection is still good, but hasn't grown in quantity. It's quite different from what 'Drankgigant' has to offer, so it's a nice addition. Plus, they usually have all the newest beers from Kees. Small bottle shop next to a supermarket in a residential area which is not that close to the town centre. But the selection more than compensates for the hike (more quality than quantity though): not only standard Dutch and Belgians, but many gems like BA De Molen, Emelisse White Label or specials from Kees!. Decent Belgian selection as well with Struise, DvdK and some Lambics, accompanied by English, American, Spanish and Scandinavian/Danish gems. Really impressed by the selection, and the prices are generally good as well! Local stuff, apart from Kees! and Emelisse, is available as well. Staff is very friendly and helpful, good vibe in that shop. Really worth a visit!

Was a bit harsh on them with my scores. Because actually, it’s the best shop in 50km around. But since I try to compare all shops objectively & they’re up to fierce competition like Geers, Hopduvel, etc.... Great selection. Seems to be focusing a bit too much on the hipster side of the spectrum (Struise, Mikkeler, Emelisse) to my taste, but hey, up until recently you had to settle for InBev-gushers in these parts. Prices pretty good. For Holland, that is. And with Geers so close by & the far lower Belgian excises on alcohol... That could become an issue, I’m afraid. Hope they find original ways to keep attracting customers, because it seems to me you really need that extra effort in such a small town so close to the Belgian border.

Young and very enthousiastic owner that runs this liquor store with a growing and interesting beer selection. Stuff from all around The Netherlands and some more typical Belgian stuff but also smaller Dutch and Belgian breweries are here to be found. as well as cheaper Westvletere . Very friendly staff, in for a chat and want to know what you can recommend him, so he knows what else to order to expand his selection. Prices are normal, I guess. Good whiskey selection as well. Easy to find and fun to visit when in the vicinity.
