American Solera

Feel like this is due for a new review? Taproom is nice, spacious and roomy, with friendly staff fulfilling orders fast. Good tap selection and some to go variety. Visited during ASS event. Oh, is it pricey? Well, they’re not free. But they are mostly genuinely oak aged. Cheaper than Side Project by about $5-10 per bottle (in response to ppl here complaining about the price).

Great beer. Fantastic beer. The best beer. But super pricey. Got tasters of the 6 or 8 they had on tap and then four bottles two 750’s and 2 375’s and the bill was about $110. Again, great beer but prices were over the top.

Holy cow, the roads in Tulsa are the worst in the US, but the roads to this place are embarrassing. Worse than the road in Africa. Ignore your GPS and just go to the end of 49th West, stay to the right, and hopefully you’ll see the foeders and kegs outside. Tiny taproom, jam packed with people buying crowlers and bottles. I sat at the bar and it still took 35 minutes to get a beer, the two poor staff were so slammed. They need a better system. Beers are delicious but very expensive. $14-$16 for a 375ml bottle. Many of the beers on tap and in bottle are for in house consumption only, fortunately I found some locals to share bottles with me. But you will not be taking away the best stuff from here. Still, it’s worth the trek. Food is nuts, that’s about it. Unlimited parking.

Attended the American Solera Society event here. Was Prairie Artisan Ales. Obviously crowded for the grand opening. Great beer and a very bright future. A bit difficult to get to due to bridge construction, but that should eventually improve. Well worth a visit.
