16 9/18/21. Dropped by to take a look. Looks like an office complex they are filling with beer for mail order. I doubt there are any fridges in there. You can’t go inside. You can order online and pick up outside. They have a few bottles of beer, but they are not on the website (yet?), so the staff brings you bottles to look at, while you wait (a long time) at the door. Super lame. They said they replaced their limited shelf space of beer with spirits. So essentially they are no longer a beer store, imho. |
66 This is a second location for Artisan. The other is in Los Gatos, replacing the closed location on Villa St.. This location is much larger and has overall better selection. The staff is very helpful and friendly, always happy to talk about new arrivals and take requests. They also run free tastings for regulars on most Sundays, and they have become my go-to place for wine shippers (not styro, but the paper pulp kind). Oh, and they have a good selection of Sake too...
Update: their beer selection really started to fall off for a while, but they now have a new beer buyer (Dave) and I am hopeful that things are looking up again. They are one of the not TOO many places in the south bay that get a regular shipment of Pliny about once a month as well
Update: selection has severely diminished since my previous review. Its kind of a shell of its former self, actually, which is really a shame. |
72 I like this place. You can always find quality in their small selection. No real deals to be had. |

Small place right on El Camino. These people are packing as much product into a small space as possible. Tons of wine crates stacked everywhere and a small beer aisle off to the side. Service is friendly and a guy told me about the new arrivals and made suggestions for some hoppy beers when he saw me looking at some IPAs. Prices are about on par with other places and they have some interesting European imports that you don’t normally see other places. Definitely check these guys out. Just a heads up, El Camino seems to be the border of Los Altos and Mountain View so if you’re looking up other places in the area or even the Whole Foods directly across the street you might have to check both cities. VITUS. |
