86 Visited after a day of hitting the breweries of Athens. Turns out, this should have been included at the beginning of the day. We got there as the place was closing, but Eric (the owner), encouraged us to come on in and chat. This place is located just off the interstate in what looks like an old house. Big front porch and everything. No parking really available, but you can pull off the road in front of the house and be okay. Inside you’ll find buckets of grain, actively fermenting and aging beer/wine/mead/etc, all kinds of equipment. He even had some used items you could buy. I admit, the place is a bit disheveled, but Eric seems to know where everything is and can point you in the right direction if you need something specific. I ended up leaving with a bag of grain, and a good conversation. I’ll be back for some more brewing stuff. This place is highly recommended. |
