I go here quite often, as while they don’t get every Grimm, Kent Falls and Mystic beer, they usually get most of them (whereas a lot of bars only get Grimm, or only get Kent Falls). They pretty reliably get everything Mystic puts out. They are pretty infrequent about updating their draught list, sometimes going almost a month. As far as the place itself, it’s a really nice bar, with a patio out back and awesome bartenders. Food is solid, as well. Draught list is sometimes top 3 in Boston and sometimes not even worth going for, which is a bit frustrating, but I assume they will continue to improve on consistency. Decent prices on everything and a great ambiance.

We visited Atwood’s for dinner and beers on a Sunday evening. Inside it is small and cosy, with a nice neighbourhood bar feel to it. On our visit they had some pleasant live music going on at the back of the bar area. They have 25 rotating tap lines on offer which largely cover good stuff from New England, including Smuttynose, Maine, Kent Falls and Idle Hands. There was also a heathy amount of European stuff. Food was tasty and service prompt. Prices seemed a good deal cheaper than Lord Hobo & Meadhall also. I would certainly return.

Good vibes with an eclectic draft selection and live music jamming on a relaxed Saturday afternoon. It’s lovely and homely inside and the staff were friendly and polite. A crackin’ pub that was nice and lively and worthy of a return visit. Add this one to your Cambridge crawl.

A great neighbourhood bar – unpretentious, comfortable and welcoming - with a good beer range. It’s long and narrow, with a tiny stage fashioned from rough wooden planks at the back. Unusually, there are no television screens (a very good thing in my view - I go to a pub for beer and conversation, not to watch television!). I haven’t eaten there but the food menu looks simple and tasty. (Last visited 27 October 2012).

When I visited: Mid-September 2013. What I had: Idle Hands Cotton Saison and Weihenstephaner Oktoberfestbier on tap, a couple of white wines for the lady. What I liked: Large, approachable bar with ample seating, friendly and efficient server was very capable in describing the beers and happy to provide samples, excellent draught list, reasonable drink prices. What I disliked: The live music performance dominated the bar as almost every patron was sitting by the stage watching the show, and at one point the band called us out – albeit playfully - for sitting at the bar. Didn’t expect to encounter this type of vibe/crowd at a craft beer pub. Would I go back? Certainly, I’d just be sure to get there before the music starts. Overall Rating: 78

Attentive service, clean dark wood environment, excellent beers on tap, the two apps we had were tasty and a good value. Had wings and muscles and fries. Would love to have stayed for the band.

Awesome spot. Nicely cultivated tap list focusing heavily on locals. They definitely try to give notice to new breweries. Staff has always been extremely nice and helpful. The atmosphere definitely works for me. Dark and cozy without being dank and depressing, a huge bar, lots of natural wood, and a patio outback that it great on a sunny summer afternoon. Food is gastropuby without being over the top. Also a great place to see local bands without being remotely clubby, divey, or overrun with college kids. Overall a great place to hang out and grab a few pints slightly off the beaten path.

Not overly impressed with this one, but I’d visit again if in the area. Spacious interior; winding bar. Some harder-to-find New England brews alongside decent house cocktails. However even on particularly slow days, it was quite difficult to get the attention of our bartender. She had also told us, snottily at that, that bands don’t play music at their bar, but when I peaked on their website I saw quite a few artists scheduled to play in the near future. Jeremy Lyons was one of these performers; it frustrated me since he’s from one of my favorite bands. I’ll give these guys another shot but it’s not looking too good.

Small place dominated by a large bar and tons of wood. Small performance space in the back, and no TVs, thankfully. Friendly staff nice list of mostly local stuff. Worth a look.

Nice suggestion by bring to stop in here as a spontaneous downpour occurred while walking to CBC. Cozy little bar with a nice interior. Pretty sizable tap list, decent prices, friendly staff, and a good crowd in the bar. Would recommend stopping in for a beer.
