74 One of those places you don’t expect to hide. Taproom until you Re inside it. Simple but ok interior, with the bar alone one of the walls. Quite slow on a Wednesday afternoon. Beers were ok. |
76 A nice place. Good and knowledgeable service. Layed back. Good beer. |
78 We came after going to Stumblefoot, where the beers were really bad, so imagine my excitement when I found well made beers and servers who actually were glad we were there. Fun place, good time overall. |
70 Hidden in the back of an industrial park along with Indian Joe’s world class beer heaven. Small attempt at interior decorating, open air with tables to sit at unlike some tasting rooms. Around 10-12 house beers on tap. Quality was average to above average. Lots of tap only stuff only with tap versions of what is easily found in bombers around the area. Wasn’t so busy when I was there. Seems like Mexican flavors are their theme but very few beers followed through on that theme so I’m not sure what the deal is. They had a very good quality Vietnamese food truck there, which was a welcome relief from the other tasting rooms with no such symbiosis. All beers available in tasting flight including their barrel aged specialties. |
66 Decent pub, lots of good beers, food truck |
82 I enjoyed place, small personal, staff as nice a knowledgable. Tough to find, but plenty of places close by, Iron Fist, Indian Joe, defiantly take a trip to Vista |
66 Just OK, especially when compared to the bounty in the neighborhood. Beers were just OK. Place was really busy for the size of the room, and service suffered for it. |
82 Perfect micro brew industrial place. Service great...Tall girl erica, I think her name was, was the best. great vibe...what tasting rooms should be |
78 Was very positively surprised about the beer quality. Was very busy during the tasting hours. We met a lot of nice people there. |
76 Visited before barrel night at lost abbey. It wasnt too busy and the servers were helpful. Plenty of room, there’s a large tv on the wall, and some barrels in the corner. Basically another warehouse brewery but with the aztec theme. Beers are decent over all. I’d go back to see what’s new.
After going back I have to say that the beers while not amazing by any means are better than Indian Joe’s which is a short two block walk down the hill. Comparatively these guys are awesome but they seem to put more effort into marketing and putting chilies into their beer than making good beer. I do like the atmosphere though and the fact that I can get tasters of everything. The service is very friendly too. |
