Back Bay Brewing Company

Located very close to the bustling beach and boardwalk area, this is a an easy walk for area visitors. On this particular visit, the bartender was super friendly and attentive. But they only had 3 offerings on tap. Everything was out, or only available in cans (which you can also get to go). They have some unusual offerings, some of which are worth an excursion. Brewery #924.

Kind of a cool place inside, with a neat looking architecture set up. Lively place even on a Wednesday, was trivia or something. Only tried one of their beers as they were only doing pints, but it was good enough. Service just OK, but these are strange times.

Close to the beach in the vibe district, nice ambiance, good service, knowledgeable staff and a few decent beers. They don’t serve food but apparently N/A is not an option anymore.

Nice place, about two blocks from the water in Virginia Beach. Feels like an old world pub inside, lots of wood, tiny brewhouse in the corner. Service was decent, as others have noted, young females in minimal clothing, but they did actually know a bit about beer when I asked. Selection was about 6-8 house beers on tap, most of which were average or below. It’s meant for locals, and probably will stay that way unless the beer gets better.

Nice looking place. Service depends on the night...Operates more like a bar than a brewery tasting room.ie. Attractive, skimpily clad female bartenders who don’t know shit about beer and have an attitude. And honestly, most of the beer is not very good - and will give you a headache. More than that They don’t seem to actually brew anything here - its all contract with St. George.

Pretty cool place. Nice ambiance, friendly service and fresh beer. No food, but plenty of options next door that you can bring with you. Flights available at very reasonable prices.

Nice spot close to main beach. For now they only offer around 4 beers on tap. Service was polite and friendly. They do offer tasters. Beers were what one might call tad bland but I see the reasoning. After long day at beach you want to have thirst quenchers that are not too heavy. Make sense. Place had nice feel too it.

not many beers to choose from at this point but the set up of the brew room is cool and the service is good as well. great place to hang out and drink.
