70 Good sized hipster spot with the bar on one side and a cornucopia of seating throughout the spot. Service was fine and flights were available. 10ish beers on tap during my visit. Prices were inline with the area. Not my favorite of the Marrickville breweries but worth a stop if in the area. |
68 Most overrated place in Sydney. Not to say Batch is bad by any means, but 90% if beer geeks I spoke to are massive fan boys of Batch. I had a few of their bottles around town and thought they were ok to bad, but sicnce I was doing a crawl decided I need to give them a second chance. I just can’t fall in love with them. The brewery was packed when I was there. Service was ok. No compliants but the beers are slightly above average on the whole (though I loved the Chapeau). Worth a stop, like 5th or 6th stop if you are beering around thAt area but don’t believe the hype |
74 A nice little brewpub on Sydenham Road just a short stroll from Sydnenham train station. It is quite a small and slightly grungy space but with a nice vibe about it. A dozen or so of their own beers - all of which were good that I tried - and on weekends a food van out the front. All up a good place to include on the hit list if visiting brewpubs in the area. |
74 Rustic front bar area with shiny stainless steel fermenters at the back, reasonable tap selection and fridges with bottles. Good ambience and friendly staff. |
76 Big place with a pretty wide selection. Beers are mostly good, with a particular flair for fruited sours. Reasonably busy. Flights available. |
78 Taproom at the front, brewery at the back, the place is 5-10 mins walk from Sydenham station. Around 10 beers on tap, all Batch beers. The place was busy on Saturday early evening, good ambience & service was decent. Food truck out the front for eats had mostly sold out so must have had good trade. |
88 Taproom within the warehouse styled brewery. Always has a good and varied selection of beers, so almost always guaranteed to find something new on tap. The quality of their beers can be a bit hit and miss - they are never bad, just often are a bit basic or generic. Great atmosphere. Is definitely a comfortable place to have a few beers, whether with your partner or a larger group of mates. Definitely worth a visit! |
76 Brewery taproom in an industrial area, near a rubber stamp factory. Open every day but closes early, good for pre-gaming. They have some of the more creative beers of the area brewpubs, for better and for worse. $25 may sound steep for a paddle but you get a large amount of beer, could easily be shared by 3-4 people. Has take-away. Check it out! |
70 Busy place on a late saturday afternoon. In an industrial area not far from the train stop. 10 beers on tap, some bottles to. A pre-set 6 beer flight avaible for 25 dollars. Quality from below average to rather good. Good service. |
78 This is one of the best craft beer stops in Sydney. Located in an industrial area, the interior is very welcoming and fairly expansive, with lots of long bar tables and couches. The beer itself is extremely good, with most of the 10 beers we sampled being of top notch quality. You can do paddles of 6 for $25 or small glasses of beer for $5, the latter of which is a good deal for the city. Service is very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended when in Sydney. |
