80 Besides the Bratislava Bermuda Triangle the "double bar" comprised of Zil Verne and Be Unorthodox (their entrances face each other in a hallway right next to a busy pedestrian street) seems to be the perfect partying spot in the city center during warm Summer nights. The bar is small and has an enticingly colourful backdrop. 9 taps, loaded with obviously Unorthodox stuff but also Hellstork or Wildstork. Great place. |

78 Small bar in city center. Nice and knowledgeable staff, beers are in perfect condition. besides of Unorthodox(house) beers, you can drink here veruy unusual beers and styles. Recommended place. |
68 Interesting pub in the center of the city, I tried the Bloody Mary which was a very weird beer for sure. Worth a visit. |
80 Taproom in der Altstadt. Punkmusik und Punk Barkeeperin. 9 Taps, alles als Taster für gerade mal 12€! Hingehen ist Pflicht! |
84 A small bar in Old Town, just opposite Zil Verne. Definitely more western, pretty much all their beers are western styles. They have 10 taps. They had 3 house beers (a Gose, Belgian Ale with cherries, and ipa). They also had 4 taps from To Øl. Not a traditional Slovak experience, but the beers are good! No food. Heavy metal music playing. Interesting place, great beer. |
65 Podnik, ktory treba navstivit. |
74 Small cousy place with a nice tap selection, and a decent bottle selection. You get two in one here. As Žil Verne is in the same alley. It is also very close to Man at work. Use Google if you do not know what I mean. You must off course take a photo of him.
Just 10 min walk from the UFO bridge |
72 Visited with Travlr. Small modern bar just across the Zil Verne. Liked crazy drawings on walls. Good music, but not much of and atmosphere. Only one Unorthodox beer on tap, rest of them were To Ol, Mikkeller, Warpigs and Oedipus. Bit uninspiring for me really. Prices seemed bit high. Worth checking out, if you don't like the beer list Zil Verne is just next door. |
70 The last time I visited, May of this year, Zil Verne was in its current location, I'm pretty sure - although Zlotta and I sat outside, so who knows. Anyway this is directly across from Zil Verne and also has outdoor tables, picnic/Oktoberfest style. Inside is a medium sized bar and some bar tables, less spacious than the interior of Zil Verne. They were doing an Oedipus tap takeover when I visited, so no flights, but they normally do offer flights. Four of their own beers were on offer, 0.4l pours, and the two I tried were tasty. Slightly pricier than other places. No food, but this area is awash in restaurants. Friendly staff. Seemed like a popular gathering place for locals. This could also be listed as a brewery tap I suppose. |
