Beautiful Beers

Review is for the online shop. Had a positive experience. The best thing about this place is, for me, the selection, which is quite different from what I see in other bottle shops. This place has a ton of random Belgian breweries, some other European breweries, local breweries. I bought 19 beers and not a single hazy IPA, pastry stout or fruity sour beer, but lots of old school British styles and traditional Belgian stuff. Prices are extremely reasonable. Shipping was fairly quick, everything arrived safely. I'll definitely order from this place again.

On our visit in November 2021 they had about 120 different beers from 17 breweries in East Anglia (Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, and Essex) supported by other British beers and some from other countries. We bought quite a few bottles from Suffolk breweries like De Vossen and Artefact. Excellent service. About ten minutes walk from the train station towards the city center. (Visited with Finn 12.11.2021).

Slightly set back from its road in the centre of town this smallish shop-unit packs in lots of brews from the Low Countries along its longest wall with some harder to find ones too. Opposite on the service side a couple of stacks of local brews are available. It's quite refreshing in modern times to see a still mainly bottle rather than canned ale retailer!

Review for online order. Good range of UK & European fare. The website looks a little dated but it all works fine. Good service with decent packaging. Orders over £30 shipped free within the UK mainland

Online review. Website is a little old school but perfectly function. The selection of beers available is pretty massive and contains a lot of regional UK beers, also good for Belgian beers, they even frequently stock Westvleteren (all three of them) albeit it at expensive prices. Other than those specific beers the pricing is pretty standard. Packing was fine, beers were wrapped in cardboard pieces, air cushions on top of them to prevent movement. In terms of communication I had no notice of my beers being dispatched, it was only when I logged into my account that I found out they had been, which happened quickly. One of my beers was accidentally substituted for another, I complained and received a very apologetic response the next day, even offering a refund. I chose not to accept as I was keeping the beer and it was just a simple human error, no big deal. Will most likely be ordering from again in the future. From reading reviews I get the impression their physical shop is even better than the online one.

This rating is for the online store. Great selection of mostly UK beers but also from other countries. They also have a selection of mead. Within an hour of ordering they had already packed my box and returned the extra charge for shipping out of the UK. It was 25 pounds for shipping to Denmark which is not bad at all. Quick shipping and solid packing.

Nice bottle shop just off the center in Bury St Edmunds. Rene really knows his beer and stocks the place with a great selection. Can't wait to start attending some of the events there. With this within 10 mins of my house I am sure to frequent them often.
