84 Friendly place decent selection. Employees are knowledgeable. Bottles and tap beer available. |
86 Small shop off of king street in the riverside neighborhood of Jacksonville. Extremely friendly service and very unintimidating atmosphere. It’s a small shop so you won’t find hundreds of beers, but everything they have is good stuff. You can find plenty of great local beer as well as some beers that are hard to get in the area. They also let you sit down and have a pint of beer off tap, or they can fill a growler to-go. You can definitely "nerd out" here if you want. One of my favorite shops in the area. |
78 Small bottle shop in a revitalized neighborhood. Friendly staff encouraged me to make a collection of singles from anything in the store. Great selection of locals and some choice internationals. The (welcome) focus appeared to be on local beers or those from nearby states. This is where I will go the next time I’m in Jax. |
82 Great little packaged beer store to grab what I want to try. I realllllly love that you can mix the six packs so I only need to grab one beer of each beer I want to try. I also really love meads and they usually have a decent selection of these.
I do wish there was a wider selection of cold brews and the workers never seemed enthused to be there, but their prices are great, and it is nice to look around and grab a few bottles here and there. |
82 Small store with some quality bottles and quite a numerous selection of taps not too far from downtown jax. Not a bad spot to grab some bottle while around. |
80 When I visited: Late March 2014.
What I bought: Prairie Artisan Ales Eliza5beth and Prairie Ale and Fantôme de Noël.
What I liked: Beer selection is sorted by brewery and therefore easy to browse, most of the stock seemed fresh on our visit, there’s some nice rarities to be had, beer guy was very helpful in making suggestions, conveniently located near the King St. beer bars, prices are reasonable for what you get.
What I disliked: Glassware selection is limited, and this isn’t the largest or most impressive beer store that I’ve encountered, but it’s still a solid bottle shop that’s well worth visiting.
Would I go back? Yes.

78 Stopped in at this beer store as I was passing through Jax. Relatively small store, but completely dedicated to beer. Nice selection of bombers and six packs. Most were on the shelves, but had a couple of coolers as well. Good selection of local brews. Father and son were working the shop when I was in there. Both were very friendly and knowledgeable. Being from Georgia, I wanted to get a variety of Florida brews that don’t distribute in GA. They broke six packs to make me 2 six packs of 12 different beers. I believe they said they were waiting for approval to start selling draft. I had a good experience on this first visit and will definitely stop in again when traveling this area. |
78 Tucked away on King street. This line of breweries/bars in the area needs a good bottleshop and this looks to be the place. Small, but a nice selection. The guy working was helpful and knowledgeable. They had many locals, standard crafts, and several good brewers that don’t distribute to Tallahassee. I walked away with a Rivertown Funk Vessel, two Jester King’s and a mix six of locals. They don’t appear to break sixes (though I didn’t ask), but do have a couple coolers of singles. Prices were quite reasonable. |
76 I like this little beer store in Riverside as it features a decent craft selection and very good service. While the place is under construction, I was able to ferret out some of the nuances and items I have not seen else where.
I look forward to seeing this little place grow as King Street has become one of the beer centers of Jacksonville, FL. |
70 Very small bottle shop tucked away on King St near door to Pele’s Wood Fire Pizza as you walk north from Pele’s towards Kickback’s, Dahlia’s, Rogue/Loft/Independent. Open air getting a bit hot inside the shop for beer. A decent selection in six packs and singles refrigerated and unrefrigerated. Good selection of local Bold City stuff and Intuition, though now you can find the Inutition cans all over Jacksonville. Fun to stop in to browse but I didn’t see anything of interest compared to Grassroots a couple of miles away. Wasn’t very crowded when I was there. |
