52 Sort of English-themed, a ways out of the centre, but still very accessible. Only five taps, only one of which was Taiwanese - happy hour between 6 and 8pm where pints are half-price. They have some bottles too. Not a very inspiring place. Wouldn’t recommend a trip, but if you’re nearby, may as well pop in and have a look. |
64 Small, cosy pub in the middle of a rather grimy industrial and commercial district. Nice collection of vintage arcade game machines - Street Fighter, anyone? Service (both drinks and food) is quick and friendly. Good selection of local brews and imported bottles, which undoubtedly attract a steady regular clientele of mainly expats. |
72 Although small, it’s an atmospheric place with friendly folks both sides of the bar. From what I could see, the beer offerings were mostly imports, on tap and in bottles. A geeky vibe with arcade and pinball machines. Food is snack style with chip butty, sausages etc. Two cool little pugs are happy to hangout with the punters. |
