100 Best beer-place in Amsterdam hands down. Great services. Knowledgeable and Friendly staff. Fifty (50!) taps of hoppy beverages. American centric but also local (american style) beers as well. Amazing selection. Little gem in the center of Amsterdam. Nice to sit-down and relax with a refreshing pint after strolling the streets of Amsterdam. |
82 a must visit place in Amsterdam |
42 Visited the Beer Temple the end of June 2020. Not all taps used due to the virus, as the case with most bars in town. Was disappointed the bottled beers were extremely pricey!!! After visiting the bar over many years, we will not be doing a repeat visit. |
90 Top visited in august 2019! Will go back |
82 Centrally located American beer bar with a pretty damn impressive selection of American beers. When I visited, there was a lot from Barrelled Souls, Anderson Valley, Founders, and so forth. There were a couple of Dutch beers scattered through as well. Everything available in 15cl/5oz pours—prices aren’t bad considering these are American imports. Decent, typical Dutch service, i.e., aloof at first but friendly and open if you engage persistently. Recommended. |

84 Sunday, June 23, 2019 (and Monday 24!). During Carnivale Brett Festival. Next to Rokin ; not too far from BierKoning. Maybe 40 american/canadian beers on tap (Jester King, The Bruery, Garden Path...) ! The styles were mostly wild/sour/saison/bier de garde/ipa beers ; also a few imperial stout such as Bruery White Chocolate and Speedway Stout Hawaian... Crowded with people... Honestly I didn't the list of bottles... Friendly "crazy" staff :) Ok price. Modern bar. They proposed small glass (15cl) to taste several beers ; nice ! Although, for light complex beers with a light body, I think 25cL is better to fully appreciate them. That's why, I felt a bit frustrated. The next day, I had enough time to go back and enjoy again this great bar. |
68 Called in for one but a repeat visit to Cafe Gollem beckoned too strongly to stay for more! |
78 The vibe here is international craft beer. You know the deal. Punky US style decor and loud music. Beer range is international and features Mikkeller, Evil Twin, lots of American imports and a handful of hoppy Dutch craft beers. I usually like to seek out a more local selection, but this place hits all the buttons if it's just top quality craft beer you are after. Popular and busy venue with some outdoor seating at the front. |
